Aish to Adelaide.
Pick 10 to Collingwood.
Beams to Brisbane.
Pick 5 to Collingwood.
That would be a better deal though it would have to be total BS.
Pickering and aish going to Adelaide tomorrow. Pickering was a bit shifty on trade radio when talking of Aish, said something along the lines of he(aish) is very diligent young man that's why we're taking him over there to make sure he's not going to have doubt's in the future...
Not word for word but it struck me as odd....something's going on here I reckon.

5 and 10 is not BS for Beams. If you're not giving an established player you need to overpay with draft picks, throwing in a second rounder won't do it.
Adelaide's underpaying for Aish though with pick 10. He was taken at 7 and had a good first year.
We still have to pay for Greenwood. NM want second round in the 20's. Brisbane trying to shaft us will be in cahoots with North. We need more compo from Brisbane to make it work.
Need then a combination that factors in Melbourne & H. Need to up grade other draft selections to make things work out or just tell Brisbane to f off. We do need GCS to make an offer.

That is the minimum compensation I would have accepted for him as I have previously stated.
A better outcome would have been pick 5 plus a player with Greenwood basically being swapped for Lumumba on our list.
It's the absolute minimum. If we've caved on that so early, it's not a great outcome.

Yes it is one of the minimum compensation he or she would have accepted for him as he or she have stated.
Yes I raised an eyebrow at that too. Pickering was saying that Aish is in Adelaide and that he (Pickering), wanted to discuss his plans going forward, but did say in response to questioning that Aish was happy with the Lions.
The Age has reported tonight that The Suns have been told that Beams is not for them. Beams's manager, Paul Connors says he is only interested in Brisbane.
GOLD Coast says the Brisbane Lions are the only Queensland club Dayne Beams is interested in playing for despite the Collingwood midfielder's request to return to his home state.
The Suns consider the situation to be a one-horse race and believe Beams will become a Lion if a trade gets done.
"It's very interesting. Doing business a lot and knowing his manager Paul Connors pretty well and how he operates, he's a great manager, and when he says this one's not for you, it certainly means this one is not for you," Suns' list manager Scott Clayton told 3AW on Tuesday night.
"I think if anything gets done it will be with Brisbane.
"Clearly we'll have one eye on it but I wouldn't think that it will be us."
After the epic draw comes the decisive knockout!
Collingwood rules the world again and Mick Malthouse fulfils his destiny with the twenty ten premiership and can you hear the people sing!

I'm saying BS in a general sense to the rumour not that Beams isn't worth pick 5 and 10.
Brisbane have stated time and again Aish wont be part of any deal for Beams and if he were surely we'd be wanting him instead of pick 10.

Correct but GC have done us no favours in signing the Sydney player whose name I can't spell on a $500,000 a year contract.
Our bargaining position has been weakened to some degree.

that'll be malceski. it's a moot point given connors ruling out gcs as per a few posts above.

Not if the idea is to get him home to SA
Yeah I understand that but Aish was a massive Buckley fan as a kid so surprised we couldn't convince him to come to us if he's told Brisbane he wants out.
Anyhow pick 5 and 10 would still be a great outcome but I just can't see it happening.
Besides wouldn't we look to trade pick 5 and Aish in return for Danger?
Another reason why I doubt this deal has any truth to it.
