A little preview at the tenor of my review...
- Karnezis had an absolute shocker.
- Marty Clarke, hand in your security pass tomorrow, you are done.
- If Tony Armstrong gets a game in the seniors, I will break things apart. We sacked Heath Shaw for an offence very much like what Armstrong committed in that elimination final. Armstrong's offence swung the momentum, and with it the game...
- Yagmoor got slaughtered by Lourey. Gets excused though, because it wasn't his idea to have to play tall, 1-out, deep in defence...
- Scharenberg did about as much as could be expected, which wasn't much, but he seems to have survived, so as far he's concerned, that's the main thing.
- Dwyer well tagged, but when he did get it, he f-cked it more times than not. He can stay at this level.
- JT started poorly, worked into it, had a brief period of dominance, then petered out of it. I think they sent a tag his way in the final quarter...
- Grundy well beaten by Gabriel, but did finish up our leading goal scorer.
- Gault an absolute non-factor after half time.
- Sinclair played the first half, defended reasonably well, but slaughtered some rebounds...
More later.

That's a depressing read.MagpieBat wrote:A little preview at the tenor of my review...

It'll get more depressing when I write the full thing. Sorry...MOTR wrote:That's a depressing read.MagpieBat wrote:A little preview at the tenor of my review...

What about Fasolo?
As for Faz, well, he did about as well as I think he could. Started back, went onto the wing, went back, went forward, went back again. Was used to plug holes, ended up being for nothing. I suppose you could clip him for missing 3 shots out of 4 on goal, but he was one I felt could hold his head high. Which he always does...

it's often not so good have so many afl players come in to the team. i tends to upset team balance and cohesion. we missed riddle who had been playing well and marsh. yagmoor had to play tall for most of the game. we were also down to three on the bench for the last quarter but none of this should be used as an excuse.magpiemike wrote:Very disappointing to say the least. Three goals up and yet again can't go on with it.
it was clear frankston had a greater desire for winning the contest in the last quarter. a three goal 3q time lead did not feel enough. we needed to have got the first goal of the last. alas, we did not. it was a disappointing afternoon.
Purveyor of sanctimonious twaddle.
