If he went home early because he was disgusted with his team's performance, then yes, that would be very unprofessional! Obviously a spectator has no such obligations, but there is a school of thought that abandoning a match before the end is a form of disloyalty. I suspect a better supporter generally stays to the end, but at the end of the day it's your right to decide whether you want to go home or not.
