I think the Essendon twos might be trying to copy the seniors hairstyles?

Steinberg = Hurley

Hepple = Hepple

well yeah.

Yagmoor infringes on Mellington, who will kick after the siren.

From 55m, DIF... behind.

Siren.

HALF TIME.

Essendon 2.4.16
Collingwood 8.4.52

GOALS - Martin 3, Moloney 2, Adams, Karnezia, Gault

Martin 3 goals, 4 marks and 14 possies to 1/2 time.

Yeah, let's leave him to rot on the rookie list. Much better that we recruit another half back flanker to go with our surplus of them, who couldn't hack it at two other clubs in six years, one of which he barracked for... :evil:

Martin should be a certain promotion next year. Makes it very difficult for Yagmoor and Gault.

HT thoughts:

Dwyer and Marty are examples of guys who are very good VFL players, but not really up to AFL. Too early to say the same about Martin, I'd like to see him get another go this year.

Brown looked shaky early, but much better that quarter. He should come in next week.

Marley is just too good for this level. Any game he plays reserves is a wasted game for him.

Adams, Broomhead and Kennedy have all had their moments without dominating. Adams is basically the same player as Josh Thomas, very clean with his hands. Kennedy seems to make some bad decisions by foot on occasion, but does some good stuff too.

Lynch and Hudson aren't bad insurance policies.

Seedsman looks rusty, give him another week.

Nice feature piece on at half time on the meaning of ANZAC Day to the two VFL sides.

Love the bit where Hellier says that the magoos "draw inspiration from the senior boys"... :D

Agree with most of this, but can't agree on Dwyer. Has more than held his own at senior level.

Shame for the kid, needs to be on the park to stake a claim beyond 2014.

True. At least deserves an opportunity to have a go without injury.

Dwyer is certainly AFL standard. I'd have him equal pegging with Blair and Goldsack. Just doesn't fit a team niche at the moment.

Going okay. Bit about his development, bit about a lack of KPP options among senior listed players. Riddle and Hagney-Steart usually fill the void but neither playing.
