Looking forward to your player analysis
Mattys123 was there, however. Hit up him for a player review.
Small review of each senior/rookie listed player;
Disclaimer; we were playing kids, the pressure was almost non existent for a lot of the game,
7; Kennedy; BOG for mine, worked hard in the midfield and used the ball really well for the first three quarters, didn't do a heap in the final quarter but no one did really. You can see why we drafted this kid, yes he's 18 months advanced on those kids today but he would have absolutely dominated at under 18 level.
9; Clarke; Worked hard all day, and probably had a fair bit of the ball but he was better last week I thought.
15; Witts; Dominated the ruck and took some contested marks up forward, was simply too big and strong for his opposition today. His tackling was the most impressive aspect of his game today.
21; Lynch; Same as Witts, threw his body around and it worked, should have kicked 4-5 goals.
24; Thomas; Was very good in the first half, but not sighted a lot after half time, and I'm not sure he was even on the ground in the final quarter, may need one more run in the VFL fitness wise.
27; Armstrong; Best he's looked for us, I can see why they gave him BOG, but it sort of sums him up, if there's no pressure around he'll play well, if there's any pressure he'll struggle.
31; Rasmay; Same as TA, best I've seen him play this year anyway, took a few strong marks, laid some tackles and used the ball well.8;
37; Martin; Dominated too, which he does at this level, apart from one missed shot he didn't do a lot wrong at all.
38; Yagmoor; His use of the ball today was sublime, picked players out inside 50 on the chest with ease, no pressure on him either though. He's tracking well.
44; Gault; If he's ever going to make it it's as a forward, but he still struggled to mark the ball, even against kids.
46; Marsh; Didn't do much today, which was a shame, thought he might have had a day out versus the kids, but he's still one himself.
48; Mooney; Almost no comment here, laid a few tackles, went for a few runs, but you'd hardly known he played.
Of the VFL listed players it was great to see Tom Couch back, he played really well, as did Ferguson, Williams and Gray.
I went home just after quarter time of the senior game, damn the Hawks were impressive though.
