Open goal for the Tigers, not good defending there.

Some thoughts...

Witts looking reasonable. Best bit of play was that lovely tap straight down Moloney's throat, though it helped that the Tigers ruckman didn't know whether he was Arthur or Martha...

Lynch working really hard, but getting crucified by the umpires (and the delivery; took Dwyer to get one to him).

Blair (Jarryd) has been subdued, that's expected, just getting miles into his legs.

Hudson some really nice work in the ruck. I'll say it again, fantastic recruit, perfect mentor for Witts and Grundy to learn off of.

Dwyer came on for the first time in that 2nd term. A couple of good tackles and some textbook delivery inside 50. Good to have him back.

Toovey unassuming as always. Just need to get him through unscathed.

From our VFL boys, Moloney and Hellier have been bulls at the stoppages. Great leaders to have, and good players to have on the VFL list.

Tim Allan has been handy again as a forward. Very versatile and helps provide that extra option inside 50.

Haven't sighted Ned McKeown, except for a run past on the boundary (right in front of me).

Matheson, Wallace, Howe all been solid.

Brother of Blair a bit more involved than his older sibling.

Brother of Pendles MIA.

EDIT: Yagmoor has made some good tackles, but disposal is lukewarm. Will not work out.

Marsh is lust a big, lean (and very fast) chicken running around with no head. Lots of patience needed with this guy. Will need at least 2-3 years before he becomes anything of anything...

Not much to say about the first half. The team plays a good style of footy but, as you'd expect, some of the VFL list boys look to have a long way to go. All of the senior and rookie listed players picked are out there. Witts, Blair and Dwyer look the closest to senior selection, apart from Brown who will - I expect - be full back in round 1. Toovey needs another run or two and he's so important to the seniors that I hope they ease him back.

Piss poor defending sees a Richmond player channel a bit of Daicos with a difficult drop punt on the run for a goal.

An obvious holding the ball goes the other way.

Miles to take the kick, but some nice sledging from Huddo obviously puts him off, a behind.

Let's be blunt - that was Mooney's shocking handball set up the last goal. But Witts takes another good grab and gets it back.
