Rod Pampling got off to a great start in the PGA.

He shot a 4 under to be joint leader with Phil Mickelson.

Aaron Badderly is 1 under and Robert Allenby notched a hole in one in an even par round.

Craig Parry and Greg Norman had shockers and are both 9 over.

Rod is in a good position, however I think this might finally be the chance for Phil Mickelson to finally win a major - surely he has to get at least one!!?? :) :P

I also hope Aaron keeps having a good tournament, and if he is in with a show come Sunday - he is a great finisher!!

Stephan Leaney and Greg Norman (+9) missed the cut by just one stroke and Craig Parry was well out of it at 17 over.

Rod Pampling had a 74 to be even with the card and 3 behind the leader, Shaun Micheel, and Phil Michelson is 1 stroke further back.

Adam Scott turned in a good 69 to also be 1 over and Geoff Ogilvie's 71 sees him on 2 over.

Aaron Badderley is on +6 with Tiger Woods. Robert Allenby and Stuart Appleby are on +7.

Rod Pampling is on 3 over with Adam Scott. Appleby (+8), Baddeley and Ogilvie (9 over) and Allenby (+10) are too far back.

Nothing spectacular happened in the final round. Micheel finished with a birdie and a par round to win his first tournament, a major !

Campbell's 74 earned him 2nd. place.

Pampling finished with a 3 over to be the best placed Aussie in equal 14th.

Scott and Appleby finished 8 over and Ogilvie, +9. Allenby finished on +12 with Woods.

Woods is playing terribly isnt he. Although I am probly a little harsh, he has won 4 tornaments this year, and if anyone else had won 4 for the year we would be saying how well theyre playing.

Still 12+ ???
