We were smashed in the stoppages, Brisbane got on top and then just protected their lead for the rest of the game. A lesson, perhaps a timely one with a few hard games to come. Top 4 is still within our reach
I don't know the key to success, but the key to failure is trying to please everybody.

What can we say, I think the scoreline flattered us in the end. If Brisbane decided to keep the pedal down we may have smashed us. Still got plenty of chances in the next few weeks to show what were really capable of. It is well and truly in our hands, and so is a few positions of some players we have been carrying for the last few weeks. I'll talk about that after I had a chance to think logically not on emotion. Go Pies.

Apart from Buckley, our midfield failed to deliver.

ive got one word...DISSAPOINTING
we were totally smashed all over the ground, you could tell that Brisbane wanted it more, the only people who tried today was Bucks, Burns, COle and Shaw IMO.
JOnathan Brown was WAAAY to strong for CLoke totally outmuscled him.
Taz was again crucified by poor umpiring.
Our shots for goal in the last quarter was terrible, 8 shots for 6 behinds, 1 on the Full and 1 that didnt make the distance....if Burnsy had of kicked that one that hit the post(so damn unluky) it may hav been different
and there was a total lack of communication between players today i thought, but on the positive we know that we can play alot better than that so bring on next week COOME ON PIES!!!

The Bears are an aging team with just a couple of good wins left in them. one of them was today, their old blokes didn't do that much after quarter time, 3 goals in 50 minutes at one stage. We needed a loss (you never need a loss, but...) so that we didnt get ahead of ourselves as Collingwood teams and supporters often do (would have been 7 wins in a row - last time we did that was 1990 blah blah blah). Pity it was to them and not, say the Swans in Sydney but this will help us focus.

Big game next week.

Brisbane just played harder and better footy than we did, it's as simple as that. If we didn't let them get a big scoring first quater we would of been right on track, but we didn't, and theres no point living in the past. Some poor kicking by the likes of Rocca, and some poor decision making by magpies running into the forward 50 and also some stuiped umpiring decisions. Collingwood will come out very much fired up in Sydney next week at Telstra Stadium as most probably the underdogs with Sydney overtaking us on the ladder this week. We must win all 3 remaining to retain a chance in a top 4 finish, because sides like the Eagles, Dockers, Crows, and the Bombers will be trying to finish in the top 4.

We got smashed in the ruck today and every time we won a hitout the opposition player would be the first to get to the ball. Didak needs to lift, Rocca needs to do more we don't get enough value out of him, Molloy needs to lift as well we don't seem to get enough value out of him either.

Big game next week the Crows beat West Coast today so we will be in for a tough encounter next week.

My only comment.......I've forgotten how bad it feels when we don't win (just can't bring myself to say that L word)
