My Thoughts:

Umps are Bloody Cheats
Our Ball Use was Terrible
Martin is very Overrated on this Board
We where too Top Heavy today
Paine will not get any Better
Jolly is Finshed
Like Frost Game
Kelly Showed a Bit again

He got tagged by Dillon. Tends to happen when you are the best mid in our VFL team.

2 goals, 6 clearances and 26 possessions.

He certainly contributed more than some blokes out there today...

And Martin certainly wasn't helped by not having someone like Ben Moloney in there to help him.

As you've indicated MB, today's performance said as much about our injury run as the early season form. Add Clarke, Moloney, Hartley, Gault, Russell, Riddle, Krakouer, and Fasolo back into the VFL squad and the trickle down you get with a fit Tooves, Ball, and Daisy, and you get a different outcome.

Look forward to 2014.

Yep, our depth got found wanting without those blokes. Probably the only one who might not have given us something significant is Gault, but other than that, that's a lot of valuable personnel to be missing.

You can also add Boland in there as well. We badly missed him to provide a second forward target today, especially since Paine has gone all head-case on us.

Yep, 11-12 quality players. Another preseason into the kids and I'm very optimistic.

the umps were a disgrace, never seen a worse game of umpiring ever mainly in that last qtr.

bucks should of dropped a few afl players and bring in a few vfl players for the game against roos. thus we would of beaten port melb and vfl would be able to play next week

how come krak didnt play?

Disappointing result in the end. This game kind of summed up our whole year. We've improved and have a lot to work with but we're simply not good enough against the top sides of the VFL. After seeing Jolly's performance in this game, I just can't see him playing for the senior side in 2014 unless he's willing to be a back-up player at best. Encouraging signs with Young, but I'd prefer to get him ready for 2014. Really disappointing we didn't see him much this year. While he was tagged, Martin impressed me greatly. He's definitely not overrated Dave.

MB - Thank you your amazing contribution on updating the scores in the VFL and reviewing performances when many of us couldn't watch the game for several reasons. I hope you keep doing this for 2014. This section of the forum has been rejuvenated and a lot of it is because of your positive contribution and hard work on this section of the forum :)

The VFL side was much better this year and it was nice seeing us more competitive this year. Let's hope for further improvements next year!

Here's a link to the Coach's final player review for the season from the loss at the weekend:

Fair and reasonably balanced assessments, I think.
