Finals Eligibility:
- Because the Collingwood AFL and VFL teams are playing on the same weekend, there are no restrictions on the eligibility of AFL listed players to play for Collingwood in this VFL final.

Fun Fact:
- This is the Collingwood VFL team's first finals appearance since the 2010 Eliminiation Final. On that day, the Magpies were thumped out of the race for the premiership by the Northern Bullants by 51 points.

- This is the first time Collingwood and Port Melbourne have crossed swords twice in the one season since 2008, the year the Magpies re-entered the competition.

- Collingwood's last game against Port Melbourne at North Port Oval was in Round 15, 2010. On that day, the Magpies lead by a single goal at three quarter time, only to be overrun by the home side in the final term, eventually losing by 23 points. Of course, not many people would have noticed, as the Collingwood AFL team was busy burying Carlton at the MCG that very same afternoon.

Over to you...

On form, this should be a good, close game. Our chances may be affected by senior selection decisions. If a couple of the seniors are rested and, say, jolly and Krak are elevated it might be hard to compete. Still looking very much forward to this.

It's kind of shit that its our home game, but it's at their home ground.

Anyway, I think Collingwood will win by 2 goals.

Dasher's BACK! Making an 11th hour bid to play seniors.

But no Krakouer...

Boland out, obviously injured.

Moloney and Ferguson back, big boost having those two back in the midfield.

Kelly another game as the 23rd man.

hope jolly spends more time as chf/ff as we will need him for that role come finals time. having said that hope witts spends alot of time in ruck. althou i can see him as another chf in years to come.

also channel 2 have spent the day setting up at the ground. the end behind the goals (not the sponsors end) but other end looks like its under repairs.

dave's gf and JW wife will not know who to follow, as she wears port melb gear and pies gear.    :P :P :P :P

Krakouer would have been handy, particularly as at least 4 of the senior bench players will drop out.

Good to see Ferguson and Moloney back.

I'm getting in early Bat. Thanks for all your time and effort commentating each week on the VFL Pies. You've introduced a new aspect to Nicks BB.
Well done, much appreciated. Keeping us up to speed re the kids, much appreciated. Perhaps you can get your crystal ball out whilst commentating and give us a quick appraisal re the kids. :)
Then again who would complain about going to watch the Pies each week.
Cheers mate and get us over the line. :!: :)
