Hasn't trained all week? There has been one training session (if I'm not mistaken) and it is only Tuesday. He will play.maggie20ct wrote:oh and by the way is anyone else worried that tarrant hasnt trained all week with his ankle injury...the media say he'll play but thats not very trustworthy, think theres a good chance we might lose him this week??

Brisbane Lions coach Leigh Matthews rates Saturday's MCG grand final re-match against Collingwood as the toughest assignment his team could have.
"They are one of the sides that has got it going the last bit of time; they're probably going as well as anyone," said Matthews yesterday. "I mean, they've won six games straight . . . they've got their key players in there playing well."

Sorry for posting three replies in a row, but I want to pose a question.
Q: Does Scotland deserve a place in the side this week, seeing as though he kicked five for Williamstown on the weekend? If so, who would replace? Keep in mind that Cloke and Clement are expected to return.
In: Cloke, Clement, Scotland
Out: Walker, ?, ?

Providing Cloke and Clement pass their tests, they will probably come in at the expense of Betheras (I can hear the howls already) and Walker. I can't see Scotland breaking into the midfield given McGough's stellar performance in the second half last week.
On the other hand, the selectors may also decide to give Andrew Williams a rest as he has been hot and cold, which may open the door for Scoots. Davis and Presti are still to come back (and both surely will), which will make selection very interesting come finals time... Weed

Its hard to say who to drop?
The one thing we haven't really done this year is make wholesale changes. It's no use making changes for the sake of changes.
If Leon, Scotland etc are playing well in Willi, then someone needs to be playing pretty badly in the 1sts to be dropped.
I certainly have a question mark over Didak, Rupe and Williams. Of these 3 probably Didak can stay because he does kick goals and is an annoying player for the opposition, you can't give him and inch because he will pop up and annoy you.
Rupe is definately borderline in my opinion. Although he gives he's heart and soul, he needs to kick some flanker/wingman goals. Willams is in the same boat, not enough goals to take pressure off Molloy, Rocca and Taz in my opinion. I reckon he and Rupert are only in for team balance at this stage. But either way lets keep the ship steady with changes, we are winning and winning well.
No need to make changes for the sake of reputations or on last year. Form and consistency is what we need from the players. I'll leave the rest to Micks judgement. Go Pies.
