With McCarthy (think of Mensch, and then drop down 82 levels) in for the Cats, our forwardline is very top heavy... Mooney 194cm, Playfair 198cm, McCarthy 195cm, and the possibility of one of Street-208, Chambers-197 & Graham-196 filling in. Your smaller guys should punish them.

Scarlett Fever, or Scarlett Pimpernal or whatever you like to be called, are you sure you're not a closet Pies fan? Or have you just realised Geelong are pretty crap, and will be for quite some time until they get a decent number of stars on their playing list. You remind me of Richmond, with less stars (and little, if any, leadership). I'm not bagging, just pointing out the facts. We have had to endure nearly a decade of hardship. But you guys continue to finish mid range, so you'll never pick up those future stars, unlike us, who knew we had to finish bottom for a few years - now look: Tarrant, Fraser, Didak, Cole etc. If Ablett was playing at Collingwood, surrounded by champoins and leadershiop, we'd have made him a star already! But he's surrounded by the likes of Graham and Milburn. I rest my case.

You can call me Daddy, if it makes you feel better.

I agree with you, we do need to tank it this year, so that we can get at least two top 10 picks. But, we also have a kid called Mark Blake as 3rd round pick, and he'd be first round normally. There's also a young bloke down Modewarre way who might have a kick as well.

We are rebuilding, and with blokes like Scarlett, King, Corey, Ling & Ablett at the core, that's a fairly substantial base to work with.

Finally, you suggest that GAJ surrounds himself with

Well, he's sixth in the league for scoring assists, and yet we're the worst scoring team in the league. You do the math...
He's comparable with Didak at the same stage of their careers (@ 29 games comparison - GAJ: 12poss, 2mk, 1goal. Didak: 9poss, 2.7mk, 1.25 goals) and streets ahead of Cole.

But I see what you mean... In a champion team like Brisbane, he would develop better, but I doubt he would have as much opportunity to thrive (see:Cupido)

The tanking has been very convincing i must admit. However my question is how long does Mark Thompson have. Has his win loss ratio risen above 50% ?? He seems to escape the scrutiny that many other coaches endure.

You see it's a double edged sword. Sack Thompson, and you lose Costa & Cook, the two best things to happen to the club in the last decade.
He has one year left, and that will be all.

We haven't been rebuilding for 40 years at all. That's a ridiculous comment.

I didn't say we had. Rebuilding doesn't describe the last 40 years, that's all. Do you classify your 9 GF losses between 1958 & 1990 as rebuilding? Was last year rebuilding?

Yes, Scarlet Pimple, last year was part of our rebuilding process. What rock have you spent the last four years under?

I'm going home, can someone else keep the poor pussy amused for a while? He rises to a bait quicker than a Corio Bay flathead.

If last year was rebuilding, why were they crying? Didn't they realise it was a rebuilding year?

Unlike other teams, our players put their whole heart, soul and body behind the mighty Collingwood Club. We were crying tears of dissappointment cause we got so close.

Now go home pimple.

I've seen Barnes, Mansfield, Bairstow, Couch, Ablett etc do it as well. Guess we're square.

Yes, Scarred Pumpernickel, but Collingwood players were doing it because they lost a grand final, not because their outfits clashed.

(I know, but I logged on again when I got home. This pussy is too silly to know when to stop  )
