Thanks MB for the updates.

I watched the game today and liked what I saw in Broomhead. It was the first time I have seen him and I think we have a keeper. Interested how you saw his game?

Does anyone know if these games are replayed on foxtel during the week. I know they have been previous years but not sure about this year.

Fantastic win by the boys and well done to Wittsy for being the hero in the end. It's a great feeling beating the Scum not only in the seniors, but also in the reserves :)

Well done to everyone and fantastic updates MB :D

Mick Malthouse was a big one for giving them a run in the seniors to let them know where they needed to be at. Buckley copped a bit for playing Witts, but sometimes fans can be a little short sighted.

Shhhh!!!!!
It is much easier to accuse Buckley of playing favourites than consider player development.

Yeah, you could do that.

If Witts rucks alongside Huddo, well, okay. Good guy to learn off. Huddo will also protect him from the snipers.

Jolly, on the other hand, just needs to p-ss right off back to the reserves and learn what humility is. Then he can go back to The Age building and write an article about what it's like to get dropped for the first time in his career...

Grundy didn't do a great deal - but then he's still very much finding his feet after a long injury lay-off and the conditions yesterday didn't suit him. Broomhead looked the goods, again. He could come up for a senior game this year, provided that his progression continues at its present rate.

Just went and watched the dying stages of the final term again.

That passage of play to set up Wittsy's goal was started by the terrific work of Old Man Beard to get into the hole and take the mark. Had the Scum of got into the hole, they were out. Cameron Wood could never of done that...

Huddo winds up to bomb it, then sells some candy Krak Daddy-style, gets the handpass to Ferguson.

Fergie darts through traffic and releases to Mangoni.

Mangoni immediately crashes into two Scumbaggers but somehow gets it to Richmond.

Richmond immediately releases back to the running Ferguson.

Fergie loads up and kicks inside 50. It's a good kick, but it's dropping short...

...WITTSY!

Slides in forward to take a terrific mark!

Goes back... and, well... you know the rest.

Would just like to applaude the work of our VFL listed players, all doing a fantastic job. Allowing the club to continue the development of senior listed players and remain competitive.

For mine, the highlight was the emergence of Broomhead. Kid has a very bright future.

Next is the continued good form of Oxley. Really love the way this kid plays his footy.

And lastly, Yagmoor showed us what he is capable of IF he applies himself.

We really don't have a player on the list who isn't capable of making some contribution. To date, we've had 35 players used at senior level without any contribution from Beams, Keeffe, Young, Paine or the 3 mentioned above. And Grundy is just starting out. Very happy!

And over the next few weeks we should start to get players back. Johnno & Keeffe next week. Beams, Young, Ramsay & Hartley won't be too far away. Very excited.
