Congrats to Bucks, our champion captain. 20 kicks, 7 marks, 7 handballs and a goal in his hundredth game as skipper.
30 possesions, 9 marks to the gutsy Licuria. 27 to the wonderful Monty Burns.
23 possesions and 4 great goals to Molly. Another 9 marks for Taz.
Another top effort from Brodes - 20 poss. 20 and 3 goals for Pebbles.
We buried them in the second with 4 goals in succession from outside 50.

Another great team effort. I was worried we might just not get fired up for a crap team. Good coaching MM.
Dropped into the Oak Hotel in Richmond around half time last night on my way home. Now we are talking a full on Richmond pub here. Well your not going to believe this, the place was half empty and the only people there were Pie supporters...lol
Hey Tessa, I told you so

Richmond are as weak as limp seaweed. They should be ashamed to play for the jumper after tonite. They need to trade Bowden he is pathetic against anyone half-decent.
Frawley needs to go too. No imagination until the pressure is off. Richardson should be on the ball before half time, like we use Rocca.
Only blokes i'd keep would be krakoer, coughlan, rodan, chaffey, stafford & ottens.
Our blokes however were MAGNIFICENT. Tough and focussed our use of the ball for all but parts of the third quarter was a joy to watch. It will be good to play the Lions, Swans, Crows & Bombers before the finals to give us a better idea or where we are at.

Although we lost the third quarter, still a magnificent win by the Boys! We've won our last 4 games with our lowest winning margin being 41!
How excellent was Molloy tonight and congratulations Bucks on a sensational 100 games as Captain.
Does anyone know why Shaw was a late exclusion?

Great game by everyone tonight, although we fell asleep in the 3rd quarter.
Good to see Molly back in touch after a cold month, same with Rocc, doing what he's been doing this time just adding the goals and cleaning house in the back-line.
They were both tough at it tonight and back luck to Hilton, getting caught between a ROCCA and a hard place(MOLLY). Good sportsmanship on Molloys behalf helping him up to see if he was ok.
Don't think any of them put a foot wrong. GREAT WIN! This brings our winning margin over the last 4 weeks to 57.25 points (yes I calculated it) and helps us percentage-wise coming to the last 4 rounds against tough sides in BL, Ade, Squans and Ess, approaching the finals.
Bring on the Scum next week and another pumping by 80+

I love this quote........it just says it all!
"The pieces are not slipping into place for Collingwood, they are clunking together loudly and with force."

I suppose if you're 54 points up at half time, you can have a bit of a snooze during the 3rd Quarter.
Good performance, but it was really just a training match. Richmond are insipid.

Richmond came out and tried to play hard football but gave away silly free kicks and then became the Richmond that we all know. Molloy showed them what tough footy is all about by charging through some packs in first quarter. My favourite was when he ran through a pack and kicked the ball off the ground towards goals.
The usual in Bucks, Licuria and Burns were fantastic. Burns must be racking up quite a few Brownlow votes. I backed him last year at 201-1 and maybe i was one year ahead of my time.
I thought we should have won by over 100 points but you can complain with a 69 point victory in the end. I just felt in some stages we were mucking around too much and dropping down to Richmonds level.
Ben Johnson makes kicking to the Ponsford stand look easy. A Ben Johnson goal on the run is also becoming a weekly event. Maybe for Joffas competition next week we can predict the time Ben Johnson will kick a goal in the game ?
Special mention goes to Prestis spin move in the first quarter on Richo on the boundary line.
All in all a good win and hopefully this week we will destroy Carlton. We still owe Carlton a good thrashing or two. Its nice to know that we have Jimmy Clement to slot back into the backline in the next couple of weeks.

Its all been said - well done Pies !
I'd just like to add my bit on the teams that played.
Some suggestions have been floating around that the tiges have had some bad luck which impacted their performance(s), both on Friday night and the last 6 to 7 weeks ....
Just looking at Fridays game.
Well the 2 sides look pretty evenly matched player stat wise
Game averages
RIch Hgt 186.5 weight 86.7 Age 24.2 games 83.1
Coll Hgt 186.6 weight 88.9 Age 24.2 games 93.5
Rich players < 50 games = 9, players > 100 games = 9
Coll players < 50 games = 6, players > 100 games = 9
Rich Players debut in 2003 & played rd 16 - 1 - FLeming
Coll Players debut in 2003 & played rd 16 - 2 - Lokan and Swan
Oh yeah leaders ...... ?
tiges had Campbell (captain) and Gaspar (vice) Cameron and Johnson inj
Pies had Lockyer (Vice) and Clement (Deputy) and R Shaw out injured
( wont include players playing VFL, thats form not injuries )
Campbell, Gaspar, Cameron and Johnson all played round 1 and the tiges still lost to the pies. So im not sure that their non presence was a factor in the team losing.
2 words came to mind after the game - tiges lack discipline and depth.
A 69 point blowout is a huge result given the sides were pretty even. I think the tiges have more problems than they are willing to admit.
Wonder wot the biased one on channel 7 will whine about MOnday night, these 2 teams that played arent that far apart on experience. A 69 point hiding should really be the catalyst for some major changes at punt rd.
Or maybe .... jus maybe that person might give the pies some credit for a good win ? ... nah ..... would be like expecting Barnesy to pick the pies on Fox Footy show on thursdays .....
BUt im not going to turn this into a Eddie McGuire gets cited for his bias, and yet several networks run anti collingwood themes ...... I'll jus let that one go .....
