Agree JLC, The "r'scum" will bring the game down to their level, stop the flow to goals keeping the score relatively tight and give themselves a chance on the rebound. This will likely work for a Q or two but then the floodgates will open - given that we are, in fact, "switched on" like we have been in the past few weeks.
We will win, I know this. But for many it's more about HOW we will win that will be important and satisfying. Fair enough.
Personally, I'd be happy with the 4 points safely in the bag and move on.

In the past we have won 3 matches then have tended to drop the next one. It is very important that we win this match and win comfortably as we are easily a 6 goal better side than Richmond!

True our next 3 games are Richmond, Carlton and Geelong and we should win all three. However that would give us 6 wins a row. We dont achieve that very often. That should be a good challenge for the team to win 6 in a row :)

Athas, without Gaspar, who do you think they will use that can hold Tazza to 43 marks?

I'm with Elvira on this one. I also hate Tigers with a passion.
It's always a contest with the umpies as well, remember R1 last year, and then R16 last year started almost the same as R1.

Pies to win comfortably. We haven't peaked yet but are nearing it with every passing week. No one can match Taz he's just too quick. Like Joel said we must continue with the way we've been playing. And run, run, run.

Easy "tiger"! Although I share your hatred. RM in my top 3 teams I hate with a passion.

Anyway, all over at half time.
here's some stats for the game:
Pies by 51 points.
Taz 43 marks, 4.2 goals.
bucks 82 kicks and 1 handball
Coincentally Burns kicks a goal off that one handball.
LOL! So, how many goals is Presti going to kick?
Joel don't make a mockery of my predictions please! hahahaha
but if i can be serious for a moment, Presti to kick 1.4

And Lone Ranger37..maybe Frawley might make a come back sometime after half time if they need it when TAz's got 24 marks

We will win by 177 points!
Buckley will get 77 possesions.
Jarrod will kick 7 goals and take 1 fantastic mark of the year!
He will also lay 17 fantastic tackles!

I noticed Tex Walker was in the emergencies last week, I wonder if he might get the gig on Richo again ? More than likely Presti will, but the Tigers have a few talls he could match up on. I don't think Ottens played last time we played them and with Stafford to contend with we may need Walker's height.

if we want to show we r top 4 competitors then we need to SMASH the tigers which we will and with gasper not playin tazza will be able to run lose and fully tip bitchmond upside down........

And this will be a good game for the players who arent in top form so they can show everyone their skills.....

Richmond are in a slump and it is no less than what they deserve. They got up for last weeks game and still managed to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory..........against Geelong!!

I can't see them playing two good (or as good as they can play) games in a row as their confidence would be rock bottom at the moment. I dont think there are two many doubts over whether we win or not. But, come finals time, 4th and 5th could go on percentages, we must ensure that we grind them into the ground, by at least 10 goals.

The only game where Richmond imressed me this year was when they massacred Essendon 84 - 42. However the following week they recorded only a narrow victory over the d's and then havn't won since; 7 losses in a row.

The only side travelling worse than Richmond right now is Carlton, and perhaps Melbourne and St.Kilda. The Bulldogs will beat Richmond next week.

The pies are on fire and getting hotter.

Collingwood 24.12.156 to beat Richmond 5.13.43
...that's my realistic prediction

But I hope it's more like 33.13.211 to 1.5.11

At 28 minutes per quarter, that is yelling "GOOO COLLINGWOOD" less than once per minute. Im sure you can do better than that

If we are deadly serious, I don't want us walking away with a winning margin under 50 points based on their current performances...

BUT as has been previously stated, this is Richmond...

Previous encounters haunt - we must steam roll them.

(I wish we weren't at that time when every game is a 'danger game' where we must prove ourselves) - I feel we are making up for those games at the start of the year that are best forgotten.

I would like to see a big night from Pebbles. :) :) :)

Richmond games are the worst games to watch.

They play like absolute crap and we seem to be dragged down to their level.

There is no skill shown whatsoever.

I just hope that this game is different as I really do not feel like going along to see the crap dished up in the past.

If we continue to improve, hopefully this time will be different?

Ditto ditto.
I have never enjoyed a richmond game. they always so boring

Richmond is going to come out hard, and will be still fighting we will have to play this game like every other game. Because Richmond aren't broken yet, if they get thrashed by Collingwood then I think that will be the breaker for them. I think I read they haven't much of a chance of finals action, so we can kill any little hope they have of making the finals by playing like we did against Frementle, and North Melbourne. If we take them easy they will over run us. So it's going to be an interesting game to see if Collingwood can continue on their current direction.

I still think we will win, I am not sure if it's going to be a close game, or a blowout. I will wait until the 3rd Quarter then I will have a fair idea of how it will end.
