PRE-MATCH - Mighty Pies v Tigers
What does everything think? How much will we win by?
If we keep our intensity and skill level up I think we should slaughter them - can't wait!
GO PIES!

we cant under-estimate the tigers as they will be out to prove themselves but with no campbell, johnson, gaspar etc and the pies finding some form of late, we should win relatively comfortably. would be one of the more disappointing losses if we were to go down given all circumstances. a little concerned about a possible let down after such an emotion charged match last week, but our midfield should be able to gain advantage over coughlan and co and without gaspar or kellaway, tarrant could run wild.

Another one of those games where we should KILL THEM but at the same time, Richmond under the pump always fire against a fired up in form Pies side.
Having said that, im fully confident we have way too much speed, talent and fire power for them to cover and we should win comfortably by around 6 goals.
Im so excited about Gaspar not playing and im sure my boy is too. Time for him to make the night his against Richmond. The night belongs to Tazza!

We must detroy teh Tigers, when we were down all our "traditional ruvals" took great pleasure in rubbing our noses in it. We humiliated teh Blues last year...now we must do teh same to the Tigers.
If we are genuine contenders and I believe we are) we should be to far to strong for the poor old injured and frail Tigers.

Is Kane Johnson playing or not? I heard he had a hamstring twinge, not actually a strain and therefore could still take his place on Friday night. WIN television is nothing great so any clarification on this would be great.
My oxygen is Collingwood. Without it I die.

We SHOULD blitz these has beens. However we must stay UP like we have and not relax or think we only have to turn up to win. Richmond are always going to be up for us, so we have to maintain the focus and go hard.
Been down from Sydney for the past 2 games and have seen some great stuff, so I won't be happy if I have to go back on Sunday with a loss to these pussy cats, under my skin or up my nose.

Can someone please tell me the last entertaining Collingwood v Richmond game that we won. Round 1 last year was good but slipped my mind as we lost. Richmond were in peak form and it was only round 1 and we had a sluggish start to the year. However the majority of games in recent years have been scrappy dour error riddled games. Players like Broderick have tormented us in the past. Broderick used to lift when playing against Collingwood.
Richmond will aim to make this a scrap and play defensive football and try and manufacture a win. Their strength is in the ruck with Stafford and Ottens. However we have yet to combat them with an inform Josh Fraser like we will be doing this week. With Campbell out and maybe Johnson their midfield will rely heavily on Coghlan who is a great young player but surely weight of numbers will see us with a big advantge in this area.
Chris Tarrant may finally play a decent game against Richmond without Darren Gaspar as his opponent. Not really sure who else Richmond has capable of going with Tarrant. First time round this year Taz kicked 1 point and took 5 marks and we still won by about 5 goals. This was without Burns and Licuria in the midfield.
Even if Richo has a big night for the Tigers we should be good enough to win
Lets hope we see another Alan Didak back heel

Anyway, all over at half time.
here's some stats for the game:
Pies by 51 points.
Taz 43 marks, 4.2 goals.
bucks 82 kicks and 1 handball
Coincentally Burns kicks a goal off that one handball.

I agree JLC.
Richmond games are the worst games to watch.
They play like absolute crap and we seem to be dragged down to their level.
There is no skill shown whatsoever.
I just hope that this game is different as I really do not feel like going along to see the crap dished up in the past.
If we continue to improve, hopefully this time will be different?
