The Alternative Table
This is the one where all of your votes count. Players are awarded a proportion of the 15 votes per game depending on how many votes they received. This table rewards the little guy, as well as the little voter. So no-one gave Toovey a vote in the main award? This one gives him a better chance.

1.25 Seedsman
1.11 Tarrant
1.01 Brown
0.42 Buckley
0.29 Young
0.14 Williams

The Anti-Brownlow Table
This table is weighted towards backmen and is a bit of a joke!
Midfielders receive 75% of their vote. Ruckmen & Forwards 125% and Backs 200%.

43.59 Beams
43.12 Reid
40.78 Shaw
35.04 Swan
32.20 Pendlebury
28.23 Jolly
28.06 Cloke
23.50 Maxwell
19.21 Sidebottom
18.68 O'Brien
14.85 Blair
13.86 Thomas
13.78 Keeffe
10.95 Fasolo
6.98 Toovey
6.70 Johnson
5.09 Wellingham
5.04 Goldsack
4.00 Clarke
3.15 Krakouer
3.01 Didak
2.78 Dawes
2.76 Wood
2.39 Sinclair
2.34 Elliot
2.22 Tarrant
2.02 Brown
0.96 Ball
0.94 Seedsman
0.84 Buckley
0.58 Young
0.28 Williams

Side by Side Comparison of Top 10 in the Awards
The discrepancy between Pendles and Swan's results are huge. I went back and checked my figures and it appears to be correct. The reason - that Swan polls votes in every game that he plays, while Pendlebury is brilliant in more games. Minor placings interesting as well.

64 Beams 58.12 Beams
51 Pendlebury 46.72 Swan
47 Swan 42.93 Pendlebury
25 Sidebottom 25.61 Sidebottom
25 Jolly 22.58 Jolly

23 Reid 21.56 Reid
22 Blair 20.39 Shaw
21 Thomas 19.80 Blair
18 Shaw 18.48 Thomas

Amazing work, Ru. Many thanks!

Love your Anti-Brownlow table, although I'd give defenders a bigger weighting... like, say, 1000%.

Love the Chris Judd and Mick Gayfer Awards. Good stuff!

Also, Congrats, Swannie, for being right up there again, and to Beams and Pendles for polling well. Bodes well for the future.

I know I'm gonna get booed here but I'm actually quite satisfied Jobe Watson won it over Ablett.

Why do you think you'll get booed ?

I haven't seen anyone saying GA was robbed.
Donny.

It's a game. Enjoy it. :D

Alan Toovey's rating (particularly low) was interesting. He would be in the first handful picked most weeks.

This is great - I really like the alternative table, it really shows the breadth of the players who contribute (according to Nicksters)

Well done Beamsy

I never doubted you..... one of my posts taken from the thread " Who has the most potential?"

Posted: Tue Aug 18, 2009 5:38 pm
Post subject:
Beams

said this in other threads.

Will be a multi Copeland winner

Big chance for a Brownlow in the future... tough but fair

Will be our team leader down the track

all big call but in my mind this guy has the best potential of all.
