pies vs striped faeces and mid year report card

Apologies are in order from me as i didnt get to watch the game i cannot provide a report.
As usual being a 9 game it was delayed in WA and when i heard the result i couldnt bear to watch it.
But i will do a mid year review instead
The back Line
Clement has been probably the best performed of this line so far.
Wakes has been solid but MM is finding match ups for him harder to spot and he is moved up or off a fair bit.
Cole for mine makes too many disposal errors and should be dropped until he gets that right.
Holland has been the surprise packet along with rhyce shaw.
these 2 add pace to the backline but once again MM doesnt seem to have faith in them.
Cloke is the rock around which the back line should be built.
most teams will not allow him to be the spare defender but he still is worth his weight in gold.
Johnno im afraid is like Cole and makes far too many disposal blues
Freeza is the one i would expect gets back into the line up after the break.

The mid field
Bucks is getting older,and MM seems to have a different idea of his value than i do.
For mine he should be at every stoppage,his desperation at the stoppages is what he is best at.
But he too is suffering from poor disposals at times.
Lika is improving every week and getting back to his copeland for.
Woey lacks sheer pace but doesnt lack guts,Burns is the rock around which the mid field operates.
Scotland is a ball magnet yet MM doesnt seem to want him in the line up.
I find that strange.he would be in my 22 every week.
Lonie is more of a mid field than backline player this year and his run out of defence is what we need.
We are slow overall so for that very reason we should have shaw and holland in the 22 from now until finals time.along with lonie on the flank that at least gives us some dash add to that Lokans runs although he comes a cropper some times by over doing the running side of it.
the forward set up
this has been MMs downfall for years.
His idea of a forward line is not mine.
Tarrant is in sensational form,but Rocca is not.
taz goes to the wing to mark but his kick to the hot spot usually gets re bounded.
this is not smart footy.
Leon is going ok,Molly puts a bit of devil into the team but once again his form is suffering from MMs reluctance to let him on the ground.
It is very hard for players to get into the game when they are on the pine.

There are times that i wish MM would coach us during the week and stay home on match days.
he is killing us with his non moves.
other teams chop us up rebounding out of our forward line.
It has been MMs downfall for 15 years.
Forwards win games but MM doesnt have a clue how to set one up.

Josh is starting to make me eat my words in the ruck.
i said once he wouldnt make it,but now im not so sure.
His around the ground game is improving every week.
But we badly need a back up for him.

overall rating at half way has us in 8th spot and thats about where we deserve.
MM must settle down the side now and go with the best 22 each week.
as we endeavour to make the 8.
I dont see us troubling the grand final this year,but i didnt last year either so heres hoping.

Yep, I also agree with your mid year review Ed. Here's hoping we see some changes for the better in the second half of the season.

And if you want to put you match reviews in GD for more people to see - the mods move them in here around the middle of each week. Just a thought.
