I have to admit I'm unhappy about the result but I can't bring myself to write off the year yet. I still think we'll be there come September.
My oxygen is Collingwood. Without it I die.

Some very good posts here. It seems to me that MM is a very negative coach when he leaves Tarrant in the goal square for the whole game says that we would rather Joel Smith have 5-8 possies and have no influence to Tarrants 5-8 and at best Tarrant kicking 4 goals compared to if Tarrant was playing his game, Smith getting 15 possies maybe..... kick 1-2 goals to Tarrants 15-20 possies, 10+ marks, 3+ goals and setting 3-5 up. But not only that Tarrant brings people like Rocca, Davis, Didak and so on in the game with his unselfishness which could lead them to having big games also.
I would be interested in what you guys think of this thx.

I almost thought we swapped guernseys with the other team.
Sadly the Dawks showed all the traits that we did last year. I sincerely hope the boys reflect a bit on their week off & come out firing coz we may be trouble against the doggies if they dont.

How would Siri know when to answer "Hey Siri" unless it is listening in to everything you say?
I thought that it was a very disapointing effort on Sunday. I really thought that we could win and that we would have a good win.
Our big guns need to start firering if they don't then well...
There is always the rest of the season and we will still get into the finals cause we are the BEST!!

We are in Coonabarabran at present,we have been watching the progress and NOT HAPPYJAN.
What the hell is happening.
Unless the guys 'PULL OUT THE FINGER' they can say cheers to 2003 and wait for 2004.
There is something wrong if they cant beat the top teams and some of the bottom ones.
Come on fellas get back to the winning list and play of in September.
Catch you all pater.

If hawthorn can turn it around, why can't we? Look at how bad they were playing, a couple of wins and they look ok, though they still have plenty of work to do too. There is still heaps of football to be played yet, the next couple of rounds will definatly tell the story. We're still in the 8, string along a couple of wins, and it can turn the season around. Consistancy is the key though. Start playing with the passion, confidence and consistancy of last year, and that will go a long way towards another finals campaign.

So many interesting comments, many of which I totally agree with. I think Tazza cannot be blamed, the quality of the delivery of the ball wasnt exactly perfect. WHy not give Scoto a go? Rupert? Rocca needs a run for Willy - maybe there is something amiss in his personal/family life not right at the moment, if he is not injured then what is wrong????????
We are in a spot of bother right now (to put it lightly). I was absolutely gutted on Sunday and I know you all felt the same. I was very nervous before the game, my partner told me I was being ridiculous, but the boys have been soooo inconsistent all year, I just never know what to expect from week to week. And however good it was to thrash Melb last week, HELLO, it was only Melbourne afterall. Even though the margin was only 13 pts at 1/2 time, I felt we would lose the game, I could just feel it was not to be our day. All those misses in the 1st quarter - i mean what the hell????!!
Not sure what is going on with the boys - where is the hunger and desire I was expecting from them this year after being runners up last year? Why were they so shit on Sunday when we had so much more to play for than lame ol Hawthorn? This worries me especially, we really had a chance to cement ourselves in the 8 - now I think we will struggle big time. After all what is the point of just scraping into the 8, we all know anything less than top 4 is not going to do it.
I think the boys just assumed that they would be playing finals footy again this year. There is a real danger in over-confidence and complacency.
I was so devastated, I couldnt watch the replay. At work on Monday morning, there are so many Pie supporters there that we all had to console one another -just dreadful. I am so grateful for the break, I think going to NT will be an eye-opener and hopefully a life-affirming, character building experience for them. (I must admit, the pic of Josh on the back page of the little paper today with a young aboriginal kid on his shoulders made me feel a bit warm and fuzzy!)
Come on Collingwood, lift your game and spirits and lets see what we can resurrect for the second half of the year.

It was a Disappointing day but there were just too many skill errors and bad decisions. Namely Didak if you are 4 metres out from goal with a set shot like early in the last quarter and not on your preferred kickin side. I am sure a professional footballer should be able to use his non preferred foot to kick a goal from 4 metres out.
I felt that miss just destroyed all hope of a last quarter comeback. Am i too harsh?
