Rocca should be playing for Williamstown next week just to get some confidence back. We have to start playing direct football by going down the middle of the ground instead of using the flanks and pockets as players have a harder shot at goal. Don't bag Tarrant on today's performance he was simply well held and when they kicked the ball to him Everitt or someone else would mark it so it is not his fault. Does anyone think we are really missing Tarkyn? I do! We miss his run and accurate kicking!!

What a shocker! Pitiful really.

Can't believe we let a sh*t side like Hawthorn kill us in so many areas. John BARKER for heaven's sake, he hasn't played all year.

The players should have stayed home out of the cold today. This was one to forget in a hurry.

We seem to be going on a self-destruct mission at the moment. Maybe we did play above ourselves last year. For us to get a decent position we need to win at least 7 of the next 10 (13), somehow I don't see it happening. With 6 wins (12) we may just scrape in.

Alarm bells should be ringing as every game is a hard one for us now. Not looking forward to Freo or Kangaroos.

The Freo game especially strikes me as one where we have the potential to be torn a new a***hole, with a swag of onballers willing to put there body on the line. Why are we so soft? Is it mental? Why did we play like men possesed last year, and then we dish up this sort of on a regular basis this year? Questions our match committee would want to start thinking about and start justifying their salaries in a real hurry.

Agree with most of your comments.
The one bloke who is giving me the shits at the moment the way he's playing (actually playing is too nice a word because he's no where near doing that) is Anthony Rocca...he needs a rocket up his arse.
This bloke has and we know he has the potential to absolutely destroy teams but he has let alot of people down with his insipid perfomances...maybe he's resting on his game in last years Grand Final?
the fact that he hasn't kicked a goal in the last 4 weeks is piss poor.
If he's carrying an injury than he should not be out there.
The fact that he is also our v-captain is also annoying because he's not leading from the front.
I know players have slumps in form and then gain form but he isn't even doing the 1 percenters to lift the side.
Look i know this is bagging and most of you will say this is the last thing we need right now .....supporters bagging players...to those people i say this.....i don't give a rats arse about what you think.
Today we had a chance to break away from teams like Richmond,Saints and bombers and we blew it by getting beat by a bunch of hacks in Hawthorn...because we lacked commitment and our decision making and disposal was pathetic.
As you can all see i'm pissed off to the max because i'm sick and tired of us being a good ordinary side...i can accept defeat but not the way we got beat today by a team we should have accounted for.
Let's just hope the break does us good and Rocca and co start doing Collingwood and it's loyal supporters proud.

Yup the season is slipping away very fast. We can never string together four quarters of footy let alone a string of victories. To see teams like the Kangraoos above us makes me angry as we have a better list than them. However they have a go each week and play their guts out and deserve to be where they are.

This season has been very very very very very disappointing so far. Didak hasnt lived up to his pre season form. Rocca isnt showing the talent he teased us with in the grand final. No young recruits this year have really stood out for us so far. Way too many passengers who only play well when we are winning.

The only one pleasure i have had this year is from watching Chris Tarrant play as he has had a brilliant season so far (besides today....lol). If it wasnt for Tarrant our forward line would be in tatters.

Geez, what a disappointing result and it hurts so much because we know we're a much better team than that. Why the hell are we so inconsistent this season? Every time we have a win I think our season's made a turn for the better and we're getting back on track - but then we follow a good result with a shocker. I'm so confused (where's that valium!!!).

We barely had a winner anywhere around the ground today - back line, centre line and forwards all struggled. They were caught behind, out numbered, didn't back each other up, kicked atrociously, and basically buckled under pressure. Where's OUR REAL team gone??? Tazz struggled and didn't seem to do as many 1%ers but in his defence the delivery into the forward line was pretty slow and haphazard. Rocca is still struggling and really needs to step up and Dids HAS to play in the forward half while Clokey HAS to play in the back half!

Must be Burnsy and Lica's quietest games in a while and Bucks looked like another week off (and the break) would have done him much better. Leon desperately needs some consistency and both O'Bree and Woey got the ball but weren't anywhere near dangerous enough with it. The back line just didn't fire at all - they were caught well behind and struggled to run the ball out - part of the problem was the lack of pressure from our mid-field but it was still a disappointing result for our usually tight back line.

Three guys who I thought worked hard the whole day were Josh - he battled hard in the ruck and around the ground, took the most marks for us and laid some good tackles - if it wasn't for his 3 goals our scoreline would have been even more deplorable. Brodie tried hard and got the ball out of the middle a few times and when Jarrod was on he never gave up - 17 possessions, a goal and 4 tackles and just his physical presence was a pretty good effort on a day when he had little support.

Even though there's only so much Mick can do sitting in the box, I thought there were a few strange decisions like with Dids and Clokey at the wrong ends of the ground. Clokey should have been dropping back in front of Holland and with Leon struggling, Dids should have been the crummer on the forward line. Was Scotland injured? If not, he should have had more time on the ground - either in the centre or a bit further back to allow Dids to play up forward. Either Rocca or Molly could have spent more time at full forward to allow Chris to move down the ground and at least get some more run and give the guys trying to clear the ball from the back line another option. 90% of the time I think Chris should stay close to the goals but if there's no opportunities then let him run riot! And unless Jarrod's not fit enough, why not leave him to battle hard in the forward line?

Well, hard to find any positives except that we know we're a much better team than what we saw today (even though that's also a damn frustrating thing!). One positive is that we're still in the eight - just - and hopefully some NT fun and sun will see the boys back to their best the following week.

The game was disappointing by all accounts, also I was surrounded by idiots that I feel ashamed they call themselves supporters, if they treat the players on their own team with such distaste, I hate to see what they are like with the opposition. I actually felt frightened at times, with fear I was going to be hit or something, specially when they started to kick and punch the seats. I don't object being upset over the play, but I felt they took things just a little too far and out of hand. Some in every crowd..

Hopefully after the break the boys will come out firing, and play some terrific football. Trying to keep my chin up. I hope that Andy will be ok, and its nothing too serious, he looked a very sick boy when he walked past me.

What a pathetic effort to lose to the dorks. We are a good ordinary side and thats about it. We have lost 6 of our last 9 games . If bucks wasn't fit why play him , we proved we could win without him, so let him get over his injury and know for the doggies who are that close to a win its not funny, cause it will probably came at our expense

gees we were pretty *&^*(&%$% average today.
tazza and rocca really need to lift, didn't even kick a goal between them!

the bye has come at a good time for us, and some of these players really need to pull their damn fingers out. at least we only play the bulldogs after the break, if we can't beat them we are just about gone i recon.

Geez mate Tazza would be the last person to point fingers at. If it wasnt for him this year we would be in big trouble.

I read that MM deliberately played Tarrant from the goal square to take Joel Smith away from the play. If that was the case I'm astounded. FFS it was for the Hawks to worry about Taz, not for us to worry about the defender who had to play on him. Let the kid play his natural game - after all, he's been destroying teams playing it for most of the season!

On the same note, agree re Didak and Cloke defence vs attack. Didak seemed to strike some form last week; why throw him back? Puzzling.

Davo i agree with Rocca...but mate ease up on Taz
This bloke has been an absolute star for us this year...one of a few that can hold his head up high.Maybe not on today's game but for the season so far in general he's been awsome for the pies.
I'm glad Taz wears the black and white.

ON Didak striking form last week, everyone looked good against the Demons. He has been disappointing.
