It is the AFL players letting the team down at the moment.
Except for Paine,Witts and Ceglar I reckon they are
They are borderline Dave. Their effort is without question and has been great, but all three lack sustained impact on a game. The only AFL player to have a real impact on a game so far this year was when Jamie Elliott came back from injury against Box Hill with his 4 goals.

Preston win: Best: Boland (6 goals), Ferraro, K Pendlebury and Hellier. N Brown was named BOG which I question. Top six maybe, but not BOG.

Port win: Riddle, Wallace and Pendlbury in the best. Ferraro unlucky not to get a mention. Marley Williams racked up 27 possessions but of his 21 kicks only 13 were effective. Ricky Ferraro had 17 kicks and 15 were effective.

It is so frustrating that VFL boys are proping up the AFL boys. It is almost as though the AFL players are making up the numbers. Perhaps it is a preservation thing. With the number of players going down it is just a matter of time before a place in the AFL team opens up and you want to be fit to get the call. For the VFL boys it is a case of bust a nut to get noticed for the 2012 draft, which explains them playing out of their skins.
Well there AFL players are Mostly Kids and Might not be able to play a Full Game with Big Impac

Dave it has nothing to do with the players, more to do with the type of players. There is no balance with the team. We have guys that are exposed at VFL level learning the game.

I feel they would learn more at a lower level and drop them up and down. As an example, to drop a guy like Boland and put Shae just because he is an AFL listed player is DUMB!!

Drop Shae, he would learn more at local level. Some quality football clubs going around. I would go so far to suggest Collingwood align itself with a local Div 1 club and the players play on permit like they do now if they don't play for a VFL team.

I wasn't overly impressed with those comment from Dale Tapping either.

Some of you guys provide more in depth analysis than the throw away lines included in that report.

Didn't the head coach used to do these. Rowdy used to didn't he?
