^ What Culprit said.
Now that I've finally had a chance to watch the whole game, I'm not seeing it quite the same way most Nicksters are and my votes reflect that. I've given Tyson Goldsack just 1 lousy vote for a brilliant performance that, on an ordinary day, would see him close to best on ground - but this was the hardest fought, best-quality home and away game I have seen in many years. I'd have to go back to an Anzac Day clash against the Dons back when Hird and Buckley were playing to find a better H&A game to watch. Awesome!
1. Goldsack - one vote. Our best tall forward, our best defensive forward, a very hard runner all over the ground, and a decent emergency centre-half back when needed. Pick 63 if you don't mind!
2. Thomas. What a game! Daisy is back!
3. Pendlebury. Mr Invisible - he never seems to do all that much or move all that fast, but his loping stride took him everywhere, all his disposals were to advantage, and there were a hell of a lot of them. Pure class.
4. On any normal day, Beams would have been BOG by a mile with a performance like this. Amazing quick hands! A fantastic game by Beamer.
5. Blair. A clear best on ground for mine. Beams, Pendles, and Daisy were all magnificent, Sidebottom was excellent, but one man was on the bottom of more packs than even Beams, got more hard-ball inside clearances even than Pendles, and caused more damage to Adelaide's cause than even Thomas. His ability to get clean ball to an outside player from impossible situations was a football lesson. Jarrad Blair, you were magnificent! 5 votes.
