Speaking as a long-range observer, I'd list:Culprit wrote:Disapointing Fade out of the game. What are the issues from today that stood out to you MB?
- Innacuracy in front of goal. Too many wild shots inside 50 on the run, cost us the chance of a close result.
- Tarrant got raped all day by the umps, but as you said Culprit, the magpie supporters will just be glad if he got through the game unscathed.
- Umpiring in general was its usual sub-reserve grade standard. Apparenly, Hahn got pinged for deliberate out of bounds when going 3rd man up, WHILE WOOD WAS BEING HELD DOWN IN THE RUCK CONTEST!!!
- Taz up forward was a pleasent surprise. But unfortunately, he began kicking like it was 2002 and finished the game kicking as though it was 2006. Still, he had 3 blokes on him all the time and the umps were blind to it.
- Pendlebury the Rock of Gibraltar for our defence, again. Too bad the rest of the backline had a tendency to turn it over.
- Ugle managed to get backon the ground, so he should be okay.
- Witts had a "correction" game, after a 3-4 week good run.
- From amongst our senior listed "also rans" I predict maybe Young to get the call-up, he seemed reasonable. Seedsman sounds like he was quiet, Ugle the same. Maybe, JUST MAYBE, Elliott could be a smokey for debut.
- Marley was a late withdrawal.
- We let slip a golden (pun not intended) opportunity to bank 4 points and get into the top 8. We're out at Coburg in 2 weeks, so maybe we can make up ground there.

How did Tarrant play? Is he ready to return to the seniors?
Were there any players that would be pressing for senior selection next week?
Disappointing result considering last week's epic performance against Port Melbourne.

Thanks MB.
FYI Rams run out winners by 4 goals 114 to 90 against a much improved South Croydon on their home ground. Throw in Noble Park knocked off Scoresby so that leaves Balwyn, Scoresby and the Rams on the top part of the ladder with only one loss each sepearated by %.
Go Rams, going to be a big night up the club.
