His defensive efforst and on-field leadership was outstanding.
We looked very solid in the backline and from there we were able to build a great win.
Interesting that when we took the foot off the peddle with 5 to go Port slammed in a couple of cheap goals. The defensive effort was something Tarks and Krita pressed in the pre-match to all the players and if that is what we get....September here we come
Bendigo next and it will be the best way to prove that Port didn't just have a bad game (which is what some may put the result down to). We did outplay a very good team.
Nick Riddle was my BOG BTW.
Superb in the air and at ground level. wears his opponent like a Gayfer and has fantastic disposal.
Shae has no Feel for the Game though with ball in Hand.

I'm a fan of Shae's but he can be up one week and down the next.
Nonetheless, I'm pleased with his form so far as a key defender, and would have to have played well yesterday if is game is being considered good by other people, considering that he was playing against the deadly Port Melboure forward line.
I wonder if he is a smokey for a senior game this year. Do international rookies have to be promoted onto the senior list like normal rookies, or can you just play them without having to use up a slot on the list?
