^ Yes, you did. Forget the 3rd quarter being the premiership quarter, it's the 2nd term that matters.

But you are right, we broke our habit of going to sleep in the 2nd quarter today.

The club has posted a review of sorts:

My Thoughts of the Game:

- Marley Williams will be a Gun. Get's the Ball and uses it well
- Witts and Ceglar dominated the Ruck for us vs Skipper and ????
- Was more Port Fans at Vic Park which was Disappointing
- Farmer showed a bit and Good Kick in his 1st Game Back
- Ugle was great again
- The Umpires where trying there best to get Port back in the Games in the 3rd QTR
- Great Team win and was great to see how Excited they where after win

good to see tarks stick with just the 2 ruckmen again in the game. witts and ceglar.

williams- BOG. got in and under and done some good things for the game (i think he has been promoted to senior list and if so could play against suns)

ceglar- done well. took a good mark in 4th qtr in goal square pack mark.

ugle- good game few good things and a smother when needed for us to kick a goal in 3rd.

elliott- started to come into the game in 3rd qtr and then 4th stood up. this guy can play!

witts- rucked all day. just needs to get a bigger tank and run hard to the right postions. was struggling in 3rd qtr. took a few good marks. he has to play ruck ALL day

paine- injured his ankle 2nd qtr? was on crutches after that. (maybe turned the game)

gault- serviceable

dtm will give a better report IF he can remember anything of the game. he was too busy saying "push in the back, too high, where's the free kick, you suck umpire"

we went more direct towards goal. when paine was on we were to focussed on kicking to him when he was on.

you were too busy yelling at umpires to know.

Well we where still winning when Paine was on so I did not notice a massive Difference and don't you aim for you FF/CHF most of the Time anyway?

our forward line works better without 4 talls in the forward line. we should have 3 talls up there.

at 1 stage when we had paine, gault, hahn, boland? (don't know how tall he is).

Well that is True that 3 Talls worked better then 4 but I would not say I would want Paine out. I rather him in. Hahn barley play for us anyway

hahn was probably in coz rounds didnt play. but hahn wont be playing every game.

tarks has finally realized how to coach. have witts and ceglar in ruck. shae anywhere but in forward line. williams in middle.

but when wood comes into vfl tarks will be stuck then

Boland is 193cm, Paine 191cm, Gault 198cm, Hahn 187cm (technically, Hahn is a medium forward, standing about the same height as Macaffer, but has the strength and overhead ability to play as a 2nd tall forward if need be).

So, I guess you could say we had 3 talls and 1 medium, but that's probably still too top heavy anyways.

I want to hear some love for the Shae Mac!
His defensive efforst and on-field leadership was outstanding.
We looked very solid in the backline and from there we were able to build a great win.

Interesting that when we took the foot off the peddle with 5 to go Port slammed in a couple of cheap goals. The defensive effort was something Tarks and Krita pressed in the pre-match to all the players and if that is what we get....September here we come :D

Bendigo next and it will be the best way to prove that Port didn't just have a bad game (which is what some may put the result down to). We did outplay a very good team.

Nick Riddle was my BOG BTW.
Superb in the air and at ground level. wears his opponent like a Gayfer and has fantastic disposal.
