Collingwood break Port winning streak
The Lad understands that Collingwood broke POrt Melbourne's winning streak at 28 today.
Mooney and Ugle both kicked 3 and Witts was prominent.
Many thanks to Mr Magpie Bat for trawling Twitter to keep loyal fans up to date.
God bless Tarks and the boys on a mighty effort.

i don't think it is a turning point. it is too simplistic a view to label this victory as such.jack_spain wrote:A wonderful result Lad!
Maybe Tarks has turned the corner in his coaching career.
Glad to read Ugle did well (I think he's better value than Seedsman at the moment). And, time to blood Witts. Get senior games into him while Jolly is out.
he is in an unenviable position where he wants to win games but also do what's right for the afl team. what today demonstrated was the guys they've picked for this year's squad can adhere to the game plan and that it works.
elliott looked good, so did marley williams.
perhaps you might want to head down to vic park one day rather than base your uninformed comments on hearsay.

And perhaps we who weren't at the game could actually get a decent coverage of our VFL games, and therefore we wouldn't have to make comments based off hearsay.John Wren wrote:i don't think it is a turning point. it is too simplistic a view to label this victory as such.jack_spain wrote:A wonderful result Lad!

NO LIVE CHAT today, in an age when lower level sporting teams around the world are showing their games live over the net.
It was a great win today (from all accounts) but where is the coverage?

My apologies Mr John Wren- The Lad has been unwell recently and confined to bed so he has had to trawl the Internet.
The Lad is appreciative of any feedback on the game- I am happy for Tarks- an old Lad favourite and merely conveyed what information he could glean off Twitter etc.
Again, The Lad is overjoyed that the seconds have won and believes that we could be seeing the sleeping giant (Collingwood) stirring from an injury-induced slumber.
No tears will be shed over the Geelong loss, or if Richmond pump Sydney...

Well, they guy who normally does the live chat had his tonsils out a day or two ago and I'm tipping he wasn't up to doing it.mattys123 wrote:And perhaps we who weren't at the game could actually get a decent coverage of our VFL games, and therefore we wouldn't have to make comments based off hearsay.John Wren wrote:i don't think it is a turning point. it is too simplistic a view to label this victory as such.jack_spain wrote:A wonderful result Lad!

Since when does the club have an obligation to broadcast the VFL games? If you're that keen, like JW said, go to the game.

Mooney is fast becoming (pun intended) the v2.0 of Marty, except with afterburners. Ugle played well, and Witts sounds like he topped his last game's effort.
Thanks for coming, Boroughs!

Mr Wren understands Mr Lad makes every endeavour to arm himself with the right informations so to make well considered judgements. it is disappointing you did not make it - was a ripper of an afternoon.warburton lad wrote:My apologies Mr John Wren- The Lad has been unwell recently and confined to bed so he has had to trawl the Internet.

i remarked to someone that who needs easter when all you have to do is head to vic park and put an umpire nearby a collingwood player to see a crucifiction.
