Tarrant would certainly be handy against either Galea, Bonaddio or Burstin.

It staggers me that some clubs in the AFL haven't looked at Port Melbourne for draftees. Guys like Valenti, Cain, Burstin, Pleming, Galea.
I am interested in who posters around here think would be worth a look from Port Melbourne in the draft this year...

I always thought Valenti was a good player. He was at Melbourne briefly early in his career and he showed a great deal of promise at the time he was playing for them. That's why I was bemused as to why he was delisted in the first place by them.MagpieBat wrote:It staggers me that some clubs in the AFL haven't looked at Port Melbourne for draftees. Would Collingwood ever consider drafting one of these guys in the near future?

Heh, Melbourne de-list Valenti but keep Watts. How's that going for them so far?Jezza wrote:I always thought Valenti. In all seriousness, though, I like the look of Valenti, good as midfield depth, possibly a small forward. I also like Galea: like Jackson Paine, is a couple of centimetres too small for a true KPF, but like Paine has a good leap on him and great overhead mark. Also kicks plenty of goals, which makes him an upgrade on Dawes.

Oh, FFS!
Luke Mason has informed us on twitter that there won't be any LiveChat of today's proceedings. Which means I, like the rest of you will be in the dark about today's game.
Sorry folks. Will post score updates here when I get them, but I won't be able to give the "call" of the goals, so to speak.
Again, my apologies.
No VFL coverage this week - not good, Collingwood FC.

Okay, I've managed to find a guy covering the game for the newspapers on twitter:

I'll post when he updates.
So far, Mooney has our 1st goal.
Scores level 6-6, 10 mins in...
