VFL Round 6 - Around the Grounds

Post by MagpieBat »

Friday
Bendigo vs Geelong @ Queen Elizabeth Oval (6:30pm, radio game)

Saturday
Port Melbourne vs Blues @ North Port Oval (2:00pm)

Coburg vs Box Hill @ Highgate Recreation Reserve, Craigieburn (2:00pm, radio game)

Sunday
Casey vs North Ballarat @ Casey Fields (2:00pm)

Werribee vs Williamstown @ Chirnside Park (2:00pm, radio game)

BYE: Frankston.

My tips:

Cats in a close one.

Port to bury the Scum with the biggest winning margin of the season.

Box Hill comfortably over the Burgers at Coburg's home away from home.

Casey in a tough match against a rebounding North outfit.

Willy by a few goals.

Over to you...

In the absence of a Collingwood victory, a Bluescum flogging will have to do:

Port Melbourne 26.18.174
Blues 7.6.42

27 in a row for Port.

Coburg 11.19.85
Box Hill 10.12.72

Three Quarter Time at the grounds on either and opposite ends of the suburban sprawl:

Casey 9.8.62
North Ballarat 9.14.68

Werribee 12.12.84
Williamstown 12.8.80

Thrillers, it seems, are the orders of the day...

EDIT: But my writing, it seems, is not. Fixed.
