Underlines the need, in my view, for a side in the VFL Reserves (a 3rds team, if you will). Allows us to split the list between teams.Doc63 wrote:We seem to be suffering from wanting to get game time into all of our talls, as we are too top heavy. And we are just bombing it down there, with very little system at all.

Could you imagine what that standard would be like? They be better off playing in a suburban league.MagpieBat wrote:Underlines the need, in my view, for a side in the VFL Reserves (a 3rds team, if you will). If we are being honest, there is not one Collingwood midfielder currently playing in the VFL that looks like having any AFL potential.
Our best player is Johnno and after that you would have to say that it is Ricky Ferraro.
I can't see how Young will ever make it as a player. His kicking is atrocious.
How long has Luke Rounds been on our list now? He looks like he should be a player, but he seems to lack something.
Our talls are competiting well, but they have no composure. Gault can move, but it is far too early to tell whether he can make it.
Why is Shae playing? A, we have too many talls, and B, he is taking the spot of someone else we could be getting some game time into.
Good to see Browny back though. He gifted them a goal in the first qtr, but has done ok since. Will need to play at least another 4 games in the VFL before he is ready to be considered for the seniors.

True. But you would pre-dominately play the rookies and top-up players in the 3rds team, and play the guys most likely to get senior call-ups in the 2nds.Doc63 wrote:Could you imagine what that standard would be like? It would really be more about maintaining continuity in our systems and structures than anything else...
