^ I just like the local atmosphere, the local setting, the fact that you can go to a game and be in a crowd that is large enough to make some noise, but still small enough that you can move about and know the people around you.
Don't get me wrong, I love footy, and I don't hate the AFL (well, I do have a bee in my fedora over the way the competition is beong run, but that's another story). But there is something about the more local setting of VFL matches that attracts me over the increasingly corporatised setting of the AFL.
Except for Collingwood matches, of course. I'll never desert my team.
AFL, VFL, Ammos or U16's, I am Collingwood first and forever!
