Practice Match #1 - Geelong vs Collingwood at Kardinia Park

11:00am this Saturday at the Cattery.

With Collingwood having the benefit of a week's rest during the spilt first round of the NAB Cup, this weekend's opening VFL practice game is a first chance for Magpie diehards to get their first glimps of the club's VFL list in action, along with whoever else from the AFL list is played alongside them.

Who from the seniors might be given a run with the VFL boys? Andrew Krakouer is back and training with Tarkyn Lockyer's men. Will he have a run? Nathan Brown and Ben Reid have been recovering from injury, will they play? Might there be others?

In addition to the 9 players already confirmed to have been signed by the Magpies, this match will be the first chance for other hopefuls trying out for the side to snare one of the few remaining spots.

Will be working on the cricket for 3 out of the 4 practice matches. Only doing the 3rd at Visy Park due to work.

Thanks guys, good the game is at 11.00 am before the real heat sets in for the day. I always manage to get to this match, will be there.

Interestingly enough, Rob Condy, who was listed as playing for Collingwood VFL, is running around for Geelong VFL!
