Does anybody know how to cook these things without using a litre of oil?
Spray the fry pan so it's only a light coat. Hot pan, 30 seconds each side to brown the crumbs then turn down and do 2 minutes each side for just nice.

Same as doing a schnitzel. Too much oil, the crumbs just soak it up.

Thanks TP. They've hired a 5 bedroom house with a pool & use of a 7 seater car (which I'm not too thrilled about) But they are responsible kids. The weather is pretty poor for the first few days - unlike our glorious weather in Mlebourne today.

Thanks Iron Chef Watsonia!

It will be 2025 before I have them again anyway, by then we will be able to cook by laser beams from our foreheads.

That sounds better than cold pan 30 seconds each side to brown the crumbs then turn down and do 2 minutes each side for nice.

Cutlets without the crumbs are the go. Though I have to get the local butcher to do them special for me. Why do people like crumbs?
Give this a go;

You will thank me.

Looks nice.

I like them crumbed but I also like them standard, preferably frenched with a dribble of death sauce or peri peri sauce before cooking.

stui, the salad alone is worth the effort. The cutlets are the cream on the top of a wonderful recipe. Served it to about 40 odd people over the last year or so and they all rave about it
Just oil and S&P the cutlets, they need no more.

Might have to try it. The salad looks good.

Tonight, after having lunch at the G and a glass of red (it's only one glass no matter how many times they refill it  ) I CBF tonight.

So the sons GF took over the kitchen and made some fried rice. Quite tasty.

I resisted doing the line from Lethal Weapon (4?), IT'S FRIED RICE YOU PLICK, because it was quite tasty, light and about all I wanted.

So she's not the sharpest tool in the shed, she does good dishes and I'm not the one who has to talk to her after sex.

Like I said on the other thread, You REALLY are firing tonight!

Daughter cooked sausages and hamburgers (good quality, low fat of course!) not a bad effort, quite frankly, if I don't have to cook it, anything tastes like lobster to me!!

Ps I love lobster!
