I'll be going with my dad, then we'll be kicking on to the 'G for the main event. I just hope the curtain-raiser will be more competitive than the main game...

Bugger, Pies lost 102 to 105. Sandringham kicked the last goal of the game, with about 2 minutes to go, to win it.
Swan is down, Swan kicks the goal! And everything here will be a Magpie celebration!

3RRR

The Pies are back at Vic Park!

the highlights were watching DTM yelling at the umpires in the last qtr. it got to the stage where dtm was yelling at the umps every few seconds.

I got told to quieten down by security. Umpire 39 is a douche bag. Who stole his neck. Bludging in the pocket and missed to obvious push on Kritter then pings him 50.. DTM was right to mouth off at the cheats.
Annoying opposition supporters since 1967.

This may be stating the obvious, but I have to say it anyway, "the umps were disgraceful yesterday."

On another note, Witts is just getting better with every match he plays.
Also, I was impressed with Trans debut, and I thought Seedsman was our best.

Don't beat around the bush, Dave. Tell us how you really feel...

Really disapointed about the result. I thought we had them right up until the last 5 minutes or so. Would have been nice to see out 2011 with a win at home, alas it was not to be. A really competitive, great game to watch though.

Curious as to why Sundberg was named but did not play.

I've now seen Witts in the flesh for the first time, and I've got to say, I felt puny as he walked past where dad and I were sitting. Can't wait to see how he'll go with a full pre-season under his belt next year...

That's, what, 3 games or so this season where we missed out by less than a goal? Could just as easily have had 7 wins on the board. The boys will do much better next year, I think. For all the bad results, this season will be an invaluable learning experience for them.

And I concur... the umpiring was bad...

The umps were terrible. We all saw that.

But whats worse is the smart arse look on their faces as they left the field.

There is no doubt that they cost us a win with their unprofessionalism.

Shattering loss.

It was a beautiful day for footy, and the 'Pies wanted the win more. The looks on their face after the win told me that these VFL 'Pies bleed for the team.

As previously stated, some of the boys out there wont be at Collingwood in 2012. But everyone out there will be better in the long run after a loss like that.

Very proud of the effort. VFL finals in 2012.

Tran was very good in his first game. Very good.

Witts was a monster again. Looking forward to seeing what he can do in the future.

Ceglar has impressed me all year, and he was ok yesterday after missing a few weeks.

Shae was good again. Could have gotten into the seniors before Keeffe and imo has been in better form over the last month.

Bull was good I thought. Couch was also good in patches with three goals.

Condy was fantastic, Seedsman was also in great form, Ugle was very good and Wood showed patches of dominace.

But I felt quite gutted after the game. I was very confident going into the last quarter and was really enjoying the game and the day until that final goal from Sandi.

After the siren, I went out to see Shae and give him some support. Gees, I hope he's around next year. I would have liked to have wished my best to Sunny too, but couldnt see him.

For the VFL goers, that have seen the American flag and know where I sit each week, well I could hear DTM from there! :P Also, thanks to everyone that came over during the breaks to say hi.

bad luck to the boys for the year, so many close games but to go down by 1 kick in some games. im sure next year with the players that do stay will be better and tarks can improve on his coaching (we have to remember it was his 1st year) and playing with heaps of young players. i think our oldest player in vfl is shae at 26.

also you got to remember that if it wasn't for our players in vfl none of faz, sinclair, young, rounds, keeffe would of got a game in senior side which is the main aim.

also in the early stages or when dick did his knee we had no players that played afl footy. then come at end of year we have about 5 players that have tasted afl.

this team is going to be a wonderful team next year

The ump were bloody terrible! Number 39 ump needs a good talking to especially after his smart face after the game.

Was a disappointing end to the season after winning most of the game and really showing the team skills.

Again was very impressed with Witts, he is a machine and I look forward to seeing what he is capable of in the future.

Pendlebury was solid again, dependable player.

Condy was very impressive, I think the team has started to rely on his ability to shut players down.

Thomas was great again, picked up his game recently.

Couch wasnt too bad kicking a handy 3.

Seedsman was good again also.

Lets look forward to next season now... Will be interesting to see who we stick with and who gets the flick. Im keeping my eye on Witts!
