SUMMARY
A emotional day for all of us thank you to all the anzacs what you sacrificed for us for what we have today thank you.
Nice touch by the cheersquad with the banner just the australian flag on the front the scene was set with all the prematch activities first qtr we were out the blocks early looked like we were here to play a couple of goals to lica then essendon hit back to be in touch within a goal and a bit.

Second qaurter essendon got going looked like we were going to get thrashed but managed to keep in touch 25 points was the bombers lead at half time.We did not have a winner at all bar bucks.Lloyd and Cupido looked like the danger men causing havoc in there foward line and hird was getting important touches.we need a lift from farser obree rocca burns and molloy.Taz was trying hard but could'nt get his game going.I thought for us we needed to be within 15 points at 3/4 time to have any chance.

third qtr mckee obree were busy early.Obree laid a tackle on cupido we got a goal this was the turning point for us to get back into the game.we got within 8 points then step in james hird,hird got important posesions while were threatning 3 important touches that resulted in goals to essendon that put the margin to 18 ponts then 3/4 time arrived and the margin was 25 points as it was at half time.So we broke even full credit to essendon they withstood our challenge.

I thought we need the first one for momentum it wasn't to be it was momentum for essendon.Then it was a procession essendon kicked away they kicked the last 7 of 11 goals.Then about 10 minutes into the last the cameras were showing pie supporters leaving then came the essendon equivalent of joffa putting on the gold jacket it was sheedy taking of james hird.66 points the final margin

MY VIEW
A competitive effort for three qtrs then the last qtr.Absolute tallent can mick give the boys a spray or are you happy

-7 goals in the time on period to essendon is this a concern to us?

-our skill level was poor at times essendon looked cleaner in there ball handling and kicking

-we didnt take a contested mark up foward till the last qtr

-have opposition coaches worked out our game plan or did we have a bad day.We could'nt get our free man going.

-Buckleys form is outstanding at the moment keep going bucks

-i suppose we can come back from this as we had a couple of heavy defeats last year and made the grand final

-wakes running into the ump could get cited

they resulted in goals and then kicked one himself this took the heart out of us
