You know, it seems the umps have hated us since Phil Carmel decked that umpire all them years ago. Which a Glenorchy player also did he got 10yrs for it (10yr ban from Football) and the umps have hated Glenorchy since then aswell. Could be worse, Jason "Klinesmen" Akermanis could be playing for Essendon and diving all day....(For those who don't know Klinesmen he was a German soccer player that dived in the penalty area alot. So I think it's a good nickname for Akermanis)

Great move including Mcgough.
Apart from any sentimental reason, or because the spectators would want it (and we are who pay for the footy and who it is for of course), another reason is that he should lift for the game just because of being last year's medalist.
It will also be good experience for him in playing under the pressure of this sort of big expectation in a finals-type game.
Yep for his player development alone it should be an excellent move.
From what I've seen of him I do think he may be a potential champion - one thing is he has exceptional composure and calmness in pressure situations - you can see why he has been compared to Daicos.
