3. Swan (his winning of and breaking away from contests was brilliant today)
2. Pendlebury (simply no more efficient footballer in the comp)
1. Fasolo (coulda gone for Leon, who was excellent again, but Fas's finishing deserved a vote)
The focus on Swan's kicking and ignoring of his other qualities is getting a little ridiculous. Luke Ball continually gets praise for his work in close, Swan was even better today. He's not only able to win the tough ball, but break a tackle and sprint away from a contest - that kind of play is gold, even if the resulting kick is not a Pendlebury special. Just feel, like the team as a whole, that he gets marked a bit too tough at times. We won the game in close today (well ahead all day in contested ball and clearances), and Swan was a massive part of that.
