Just Got Back from the Game and here are my Thoughts

  • Ceglar was Solid - Played Mostly in the Ruck and Did a Good Job
  • I think Dick might be Finshed after that Injury
  • Farmer was Okay and did show bits in the 2nd Half
  • We should Draft Eddy as I reckon he could play AFL next season if he does as he is been out Best Forward in VFL
  • Shae still looks list
  • Keeffe had his worst game for the season
  • Gordon was Solid today in Defense and Got a Holding a Ball "Right in front of Me"
Did anyone see me on TV?

Didn't see you today Dave, but I wasn't paying full attention.

Disappointing about Keefe.

the player i was impressed with today was couch. played good in the middle and then kicked 2 goals (i think) when going forward.

keeffe probably had a odd bad game as there was no 1 really to man up on.

I'm interested in how Rounds & Young went, given that they were selected in the 25 squad for the seniors this week.
Swan is down, Swan kicks the goal! And everything here will be a Magpie celebration!

3RRR

The Pies are back at Vic Park!

rounds was ok. looked like he rolled his ankle in 1st qtr but came back on. provided run from backline and was also playing on the wing, maybe one of our best players.

young was ok as well. played in centre didnt get alot of touches but used the ball well.

Ok, I finally got a chance to watch the game and here's what I thought:

*Luke Rounds was excellent. Playing out of defence and may get a call up to the AFL side soon. With Swan and Dale coming back, he might have to wait a little longer.

*Tom Young was good even though he only got to play a quarter and a half.

Like Rounds, could get a call up soon.

*I dont think that big Shae looks as lost as DTM says every week. He started in the ruck and I though he was winning them, but he needs to hit a teamate more often with his taps; He needs to find his Tony Shaw. Once Ceglar took over ruck duties, Shae played a different role and I think did pretty well. Would like to see him kick a few more goals and get some confidence back.

*Ceglar took over from Shae in the ruck and I think

looked good. I'm very happy we got this guy from GC as I've seen him play in alot of different positions and I like what I have seen so far. Could be anything.

*K. Pendles. Last three weeks: Vs Hall, Vs Kruzer, Vs Fevola. Scouts will be taking notes as he's played well in all encounters. Not BOG, but did very well on Fev.

*Sundberg. What can I say about this guy? I am a huge fan and think he'd be playing AFL games if he was on our list. I am 100% sure that someone (hopefully us) will draft him for 2012. A gun!

*I also thought Bolton had a decent day.

*Really upset for Brad Dick. I was looking forward to seeing some more of the defensive side to his game. Hopefully he is back out there in 2012.

*Matthew Bate looked to be ok for Casey. Are the Dees going to let him walk? I think he beat Keefe on the day.

*How annoying was the 'double boundry line' thing??

*Cudos to Casey for wearing a pink jumper to support breast cancer research. (As hidious as the jumper was).

Yeah I agree Ceglar looked good in the Ruck and his Verstillty means he can play more than just Ruck like Wood
