Round 9 - Coburg vs Collingwood at Coburg City Oval

Post by MagpieBat »

Game starts at 1:10pm at Harding Street.

TV broadcast this week (yay!). Broadcast begins at 1:00pm on ABC1. Match will be on iView mid-week.

Collingwood sits 9th, with 3 wins and 4 losses (1 bye) but terrible percentage. Coburg is 13th, with 0 wins and 6 losses (2 byes) and an even worse percentage. Need a big win to stay in touch with the eight.

C'mon Pies!

Pretty important game for the club.

We'll learn alot about our remaining big men if Keefe is selected in the 1's.

We need a big win and should be able to get it too. I'm still down about the loss to Willy after such a great 3 quarters.

I'm looking forward to seeing who is going to step up in this game as the players will have a great opportunity to show us something.

I really hope Shae can kick a few majors and take some good marks. I feel like he is going to kill someone this week!

I will be going again, but I will most likly miss the first quarter as i'll have to be at work until 1.

Lets hope for some decent weather too!

The naming of the VFL team continues to be a farce, every time the Seniors play after the VFL.

That's because in such cases there are always at least 4 players named who will not play in the VFL (the 4 are actually going to take the field for the Seniors) and often a further 1 or 2 players (eg, Keeffe last week) held back from the VFL game to cover contingencies in the Seniors.

Extended senior bench listed in red. Interesting that Johnno has to come back via the magoos yet Tooves gets promoted straight into the senior line-up.

Still no Sinclair or Josh Thomas.

The Lad does NOT rate Boyd as a commentator. A collingwood hater who stated it was great to see Licca cry after a grand final loss.
