Round 8 - Collingwood v Williamstown at Victoria Park
2:00pm this Saturday at the old girl.
Willy sit 2nd on the ladder, and are the strongest side we have faced so far. Would be nice to hope for a victory, but somehow I think we might struggle... then again, given that Willy plays a lot of Footscray 2nd-stringers and that they were challenged by Sandringham a fortnight ago, who knows?
No TV or radio coverage this week either...

Bolded players are the extended senior bench. Leroy has been named and is still under a cloud as far as I know so possibly 5 of these guys will play seniors.Dave The Man wrote:Collingwood vs. Williamstown

Beams, Wellingham, Krakouer & Blair confirmed in the senior 22. Interesting to see if Keefe lines up or is held in reserve in case Leroy doesn't come up.jackcass wrote:Bolded players are the extended senior bench. I went today really hoping for an upset and the belief that we could do it.
I felt disapointed after the game, but not in a bad way if that makes sence?? I really wanted a win, and I felt like we were close.
Higlights of the day were:
K Pendles Vs B Hall.
Shae's big grab in the second.
Fasolo smashing it again!
& The sence that our forward line pressure was there.
An honarable loss that should have been closer than 30 points.
We were very unlucky today. Could have been infront by more than 2 points at three quarter time. And Willy just had the legs to overun us in the dying minutes.

I've only just realised that there was just one AFL-experienced player for the 'Pies today. Brad Dick.
Sunny was outstanding again. (GWS may snatch him, hopefully not).
And like I said before, I think a few recruiters would have taken note about one K Pendles taking on the big bad Baz today. (Hall kicked 4, but two of them were very late in the last quarter).
Would like McNamara to hit his opposition harder.

^^
No he didnt. Deserves a crack against the Crows for his efforts latly though.
Leaping Leroy might not have come up, so there's a chance that J-Mac may play.
Just looking at the VFL ladder, we're 9th with a really bad percentage. We need to take advantage next week against Coburg. We need a big win.
Coburg play Frankston tomorrow, and both teams havnt won a game yet. Exciting stuff.
Port plays Bendigo and we should hope that the Borough smash them.
