Onya DTM, so right, those geeeeelong fans were so annoying, constantly referring to last night's result
Both teams kept at it to the end, just like last night, but a happier result for us. We're stringing a few wins together now, well deserved.
I'm at most of the VFL matches, nice to see so many of the players improving, and the teamwork coming together.
Looks like Vicky Park's days are numbered, hardly recognisable as the proud fortress that she was

VFL journalist Howard Leigh just mentioned on Sen that Tom Couch , son of former Geelong player Paul Couch played for Collingwood reserves as a top up player yesterday at Vic Park.
How did he go ?

"From the back pocket, this will be probably the last kick, he need not even kick it, the drought is over. 32 years they've waited, let the celebrations begin" Sandy Roberts

My take from the VFL Forum:

I just felt like we let a great opportunity to win by a big margin go after quarter time. We kicked 6 goals to none in the first quarter, only to see Geelong kick 4 or 5 unanswered goals before half time.Presti#1Fan wrote:I've never been so dissapointed at the VFL.
The Sherrin stand end was deffinatly not the scoring end today. I think we only kicked three down that end all day??
We were very lucky to get away with one today and I feel like we were outplayed for most of the day. But I supose you could pay alot of that to the conditions. But still. Had a few troubles myself with the USA flag in the wind!!
I was dissapointed with the crowd too, as it felt like we were outnumbered by Cats supporters. Didnt feel like Vic Park.
I'll take the win and hope for an upset next week against the gulls!
Side note: The security guard copped an absolute grill from his boss when he didnt get the ball back to the ump during the third.
DTM, Keefe didnt have his best day, but I thought he did a few impressive things. Shae was great against the Roosters, I just dont know if he likes the wet conditions. He was ok, but I'm hoping for a better game next week.

Caff still struggling?
I'd like to seem him back, or McCarthy playing his role. John is not as good a contested mark as Caff, but does have excellent hands, is quicker, a very tough player and can rotate through the middle. I'd like us to have another leadup option when Cloke and Dawes are being blanketed.
Must be time to give Dick a few full games in the VFL. Playing him for a quarter or two, after he's missed so much time, is madness. McCarthy needs some game time soon. His VFL form, as usual, has been good and our fringe players need senior footy.

20 is his age! Been playing with the vfl side for 3 or 4 years. Started as a top up player. I'd compare him to a Brad Sewell in close but covers the ground like Swan. Seems to be a quiet guy out on field, no fuss, like Swanny. One of my favorite Pies.Fire Up wrote:i dont think sunberg is #20. all the afl listed players wear the same numbers if they play in vfl.
i think sunberg was waering a higher number like 50+. dtm will know he has a record with all the players numbers. dtm where are you?
