Here are my thoughts on the VFL Game:
Cats Fans where Bloody Cocky after Last Night
Ceglar had a Quiet Game and Missed a Sitter. But did Smash some Packs
I really Like Gordon's Game. Did Well on Vardy Espically Early and He used the Ball out of Defense very well.
Fasolo has to be Close to Debuting
Shae Still looks lost
Keeffe was played in the Ruck and did not do well
Reilly did not do Much
Umpring was usual Crappy Standered
Tom Young Was Fantastic

Dave, i much prefer when you start your weekly vfl report with "umpiring was bloody disgusting".Dave The Man wrote:Here are my thoughts on the VFL Game:

This was after out last game:
The Sherrin stand end was deffinatly not the scoring end today. I think we only kicked three down that end all day??
We were very lucky to get away with one today and I feel like we were outplayed for most of the day. But I supose you could pay alot of that to the conditions. But still. Had a few troubles myself with the USA flag in the wind!!
I was dissapointed with the crowd too, as it felt like we were outnumbered by Cats supporters. Didnt feel like Vic Park.
I'll take the win and hope for an upset next week against the gulls!
Side note: The security guard copped an absolute grill from his boss when he didnt get the ball back to the ump during the third.
DTM, Keefe didnt have his best day, but I thought he did a few impressive things. Shae was great against the Roosters, I just dont know if he likes the wet conditions. He was ok, but I'm hoping for a better game next week.
And this was me at 3/4 time and during the 4th quarter:Presti#1Fan wrote:I've never been so pumped after a VFL win.
But I am happy with the win. I just felt like we let a great opportunity to win by a big margin go after quarter time. We kicked 6 goals to none in the first quarter, only to see Geelong kick 4 or 5 unanswered goals before half time.Presti#1Fan wrote:I've never been so dissapointed at the VFL.

Hoping for Coburg to win, but the Roosters at home is always a tough assignment. True, North Ballarat are not the side they were last year, but Coburg have lost all their games so far. Roosters will probably get up...
Went to game with dad today. Great to see the boys win! Was afraid the Cats would snatch it near the end, but we prevailed. Wet and cold, pretty miserable conditions (although I'm sure plenty of us have seen worse, as my dad reminded me he had...)
We were in the Sherrin Stand, near that annoying cadre of Geelong supporters acting as the de facto cheer squad ("Gee-long! clap clap clap!") I felt the crowd was a majority Pies crowd, but I think we were pretty subdued throughout the game (maybe the previous night's result had something to do with it?)
MacCarthy, Beams and (maybe) Keefe should be in consideration for the game against Adelaide next Sunday, based on today's output (or last few weeks in J-mac's case). Also, anyone think that Sundberg might make for a decent selection for next year? Thought he played really well.
Next week, it's Williamstown at VP (gulp!). Mind you, the Seagulls got their ar$e$ handed to them by Port Melbourne yesterday, and they're mostly playing Footscray second-stringers in their team. Who knows what might happen...
