What a Great Comeback by the Kids

My Thoughts:

Umps where Disgusting
Ceglar was Fantastic and I thought he kicked more than 2 Goals
Defense did a great job in the last qtr
Fasolo was Good Again and 2 Great Long Goals
Keeffe was Fantastic and has to be close of getting a go at AFL Level
Was good to be at Vicy Park Again

Great Win but Now we have the Bye

thompsoc wrote:went to Vic park today with 2 kids in tow and not much idea of who some of the players were. Next time I go I must take a note of each players number. Spent more time chasing the kids around than looking at the game. However here are some observations.
1. The Collingwood boys were really happy with the one point win
2. Fasalo has a great kick - long flat and penetrating
3. Keefe needs to bulk up
4. J Mac decision making and effort leaves me cold
5. The yank needs more games and may really struggle to get on our list in 2012
6. They played the Caff as a midfield player most of the day
7. Goldy is still skinny but seemed to come good when the game was on the line - almost as if he needs a big stage or challenge.
the players that are on the senior/rookie list have the same number as in they are playing afl. it goes up to number 50 and i know 51 is K. pendelbury. after that no idea

Went for the second half today. Excellent win by a young group of players.

As I was walking onto the ground at 3 qtr time I passed a dejected jmac with heavy tape strapping and ice all over his hammy and knee. I think the left leg. Did not look good at all.

Meant that the team played with 3 on the bench for the second half. Good effort that.

ceglar can be a key forward in years to come. takes good marks in forward line. he just has to put on muscle, still too skinny. also was good in the ruck

Sundberg must be close to playing for the seniors had he been on the senior list. Should win the vfl b&f and hopefully bucks will reward him after having 2 strong years

Great result. Good to hear Ceglar perfrom well.

Shame about J Mac but I agree with an earlier poster from the games I've seen - not the best decsion maker.

Apart from being a long straight kick how did Fasolo play?

Our VFL team will be fitter than the non affiliated teams and run the games out stronger. This was evident yesterday , North Ballarat smalls lost their run/impact. If we are 4 to 5 goals behind at 3qtr time we are always a chance.

Great effort....... It was a great game to watch..... The umpiring brought back memories of the good old days when the seniors played there, these flouro umpires need to be told to crucify us on the opposite wing !! Not in front of the old members stand......someone should give them the heads up.

Keefe is not far off a seniors game. He and Pendles took some solid contested marks.
The ball was clearly out

I've never been so pumped after a VFL win.

I can see great opportunities in the future for Ceglar and Fasolo.

Big Shae was fantastic aswell!!

Love your work dave, you should do a weekly match report, starting every edition with "let me start by saying the umpires were absolutely disgusting". Would have a cult following for sure.
