Went today and paid attention mostly to the Big Kids.

Ceglar - Really like his game has a Strong Set of Hands and good Set Shot for Goal. Moves around the Ground well

Gordon - Did not notice him much but what I saw he got beat in the Air

Reilly - Liked his game, Was in and out but did some good things

Perham - Did not notice him much

Fasolo- was Good and think he could debut soon

Looks like Mc Carthy was good 25 possessions, 5 tackles and 2 goals. Dave how did you see his effort?

I spent a fair bit of time watching Brad Dick so didn't notice how everyone went. Dick, McCaffer, McCarthy and Goldsack were a class above. Still like the look of Perham. Fasolo was ok but not a standout. JMac and Dick were the best. Dick was superb in the second half in the forward line. We were outclassed in the first half by a bigger, more experienced team. But most of the second half was excellent. We implemented our pressure game really well after half time. The tackling was great and Dick was always dangerous. Can't wait till he is back. Wood's tapwork at times was superb and he was more aggressive in the ball ups and throw ins than ever.

I was worried after we lost so many experienced players off our list that our VFL team might really struggle but the kids are looking very good. Being thrashed by the better teams is not great for development. I am much more optimistic after yesterday's game.
