For those that don't know, Williamstown last won a Grand Final back in 1990, the same year as Collingwood last won the big one.

It has now been revealed that the similarities will continue with the release of a new Williamstown theme song.

As with the CFC theme song, this new version is also sung to the tune of Goodbye Dolly Gray.

We are Williamstown forever
In blue and gold we play the game
Stand as one we don't surrender
To uphold the Seagulls fame
See the opposition fearing
They won't keep us down
'Cause they know that they've been playing
The mighty Williamstown.

Tess, hang on to your blue-and-golds, as part of the newly extended alliance (2004 - 2008), a condition is that Williamstown will retain the existing strip, with only special circumstances, if ever, seeing them in the black-and-white.
