Inside Footy does a pretty good job of keeping an eye on VFL signings.

In an article about Tarks in the current edition published Wednesday 9th March 2011:
The 21-man squad is yet to be finalised but Kris Pendlebury, Daniel "Rohan" Frost, Tom Sundberg, Corey Miller, Pat Liston and Pat Hayes have returned.
In an article about Casey's chances this year, based on an interview with Brad Gotch, published Wednesday Feb 23, 2011 a breakout section has Gotch's comments on his new recruits:
Ryan Pendlebury Was on the verge of being drafted last year but he didn't finish the season off well. They found out he had glandular fever and a hip complaint. Has a really good game for us last year.
Ben Monky will play with Box Hill. Apparently he's a key tall prospect for them.

For sure. Looks like he's changed his shape as well. Maybe my eyes were playing tricks in the heat but he looked more short and stout than tall and athletic as he has in previous years.

Maybe he's looking at more of a midfield role this year?

Yeah could be interesting. I guess it's possible that like a lot of talls he's more of a late developer. I wonder if in theory we can still father/son him in future years, if he improves? Can you rookie a father/son? Will the rookie system even be around next year? AFLPA wants to get rid of it.

That seems to the case yep. I suspect that decision was made before the signing of Crazy Joe Fevola though. I feel for the kid as it's highly likely CJF will be a very distracting influence at best; a downright coach's time-consuming nightmare at worst. When Ryan should be getting coaching time, will CJF's soap opera be taking up Gotch's time?

IMHO Casey Fields is also a very poor venue at which to improve your game. The wind there blows almost as much as it does at Willi. The surface of the oval was excellent until last year when it was so flooded they moved games away from the ground. Also in these politically correct times, the council appears to have spent more money building copious soccer, netball and other non-footy facilities rather than focusing their money on AFL - the one true sport! Stynes and any number of politicians can bullshit all they like but go out there and you can see for yourself. Seating is a grand total of about 50 at most!

I was very impressed with Frost in our first year as a stand alone. Played a variety of roles in a pretty poor side. I'd be rapt for him if he got more opportunities, even at senior level. Any chance?

He's the guy with the white-blonde combover hair which looks a bit like a throwback to the 1920s or 30s haha. Usually plays as a full back or defender if our AFL-listed key defenders are not available AFAIK. Left footer, chunky build. Otherwise distinguishable in the practice match by wearing black bike shorts under his black footy shorts instead of 'skin'-coloured shorts. Looked a bit weird for sure :) Don't know what number he wears.

Oh yeah and I think sometimes his name was spelt Millard rather than Miller. Millard might even be his actual surname. Kinda similar to when Frosty was noted in the team sheets as Rohan Frost so now they call him Daniel "Rohan" Frost haha.

Our first VFL game for the season is in Round 1, Sunday April 3rd against Frankston at Frankston Park.

As for when the squad will be finalised, can't help you there. Imagine it will be within the next week or so. The last practice match is this Friday.
