I know it's early days but ... why the hell would you send Australia in to bat unless it was overcast and the wicket had some juice in it !!???
Did anyone notice the grin on the Punter's face when Ganguly said, "We'll bowl"
After 9 overs the Aussies are 0/74 !

It's a game. Enjoy it.

When will opening bowlers learn! Bowling short to Hayden is a calculated risk. Bowling short to Gilchrist is suicide !!
There would be some method to the madness if said bowlers (captains) had a mid wicket on the fence.
Khan just showed his inexperience. Three overs for 28 runs.

Having Gilchrist or Symonds out there will hurt you a lot more than having Bevan and Martyn out in the middle. They are two of the more aggressive batsman and can hit bowlers out of the attack.
JLC, is this really you? Did you just say Symonds was a key wicket? Not bad for a specialist 12th man.
Well PRIOR to the tournament it was unlikely that Symonds was going to play ?? Is that a fair call ?? Symonds would have been played as 12th man in every game. Wasn't rocket science to work that out.
Watson the aussie hero to people on Nicks had the claim to number 1 all rounders position, His misfortune presented Symonds with the chance to play. He took his chance and did well.
Based on that i thought his wicket was the key as he was one of the inform batsman,

AWESOME !!
Ricky Ponting has just played the innings of a lifetime.
You're the captain and first drop. This is the WC final. How best can you set an example?
140 from 121 balls. 4 fours and 8, yes EIGHT sixes! Thanks, Ricky, an absolute priveledge to have seen your innings.

What more could you ask for?
I'm speechless!
I thought 8 an over was good for the first 10. 0/109 of the final 10 is amazing.

Ponting/Martyn: undefeated 234 run partnership!
